I take time for me every day; it is how I survive my demanding job. I try to get in one - two hours with my guitar every day, and have 2 - 3 exercise sessions a week.

I don't take time for me every day, but about half the time I do. Some days at work I just go walk around this beautiful campus at lunch. Sometimes I get up a little early and have some "me" time.

Jann,
My husband is my best workout partner, too. And haha on the eating/losing concept. I have just recently gotten across the "serving size" concept.

At Chrstimas time, he was drinking lots of eggnog. And I asked him how many calories were in his glass. And he looked at the container and said 200cals, And I said, in that 12 oz glass??? And he says, "Well, it says per serving. Isn't this my serving??"

bless you early risers. Wish I could have that habit but I love to sleep in. Of course, on weekends I am up at dawn.

I enjoy working out after work, It helps get rid of the stress. At the moment I go with my husband as he is my partner to lsoe weight and get healthier. Me for my back nad general health, him for his heart.

I am still working to convinve him what a great resource spark is and he NEEDS to eat to lose.

Strive to be the best you. Remember those who are in your life for a minute, an hour or forever all need your attention and smile.

Now that I am an empty nester, I don't need the quiet alone time as much as I used to crave it. I have it much of the time. Not a bad thing, but different.

I do take time for me to read or play a word game before going to sleep if I'm not too tired. If I have a chunk of time uncommitted, I will sneak down to the sewing room and do some projects. The dog is the only one who demands time and if we get out walk in when I get home from work, the day goes great. If i don't make it for whatever reason, life is a little harder.

I get up at 5am for work, though I don't leave the house till 7:30am. This gives me a chance to listen to the quiet and wake up slowly. emoticon It can get very noisy, busy and there is a lot of commotion where I work some days. This helps me ease into the day. I will get up by 6 on the weekends.

I usually go to my bedroom about an hour before I go to sleep. I read, do word search or whatever I want. I need a little "me" time just for me!

I consider my fitness time my "me" time. I try to do seven days a week - but, with my schedule, I allow myself a day off if necessary to make sure that I get my needed rest (sleep) too!

When I first started with Spark, it was hard for me to exercise. So, it was almost like I had a mantra as I took those steps: I am doing this for me, I am doing this for me, I am doing this for me.

Now, I don't have to do that before I will exercise, but I am noticing that I am much pickier about stuff for me now. I want just the right blouse, just the right pair of shoes, etc. I have never been this picky in my entire life.

I have had a habit of reading before sleeping. I would say that is just for me, too.

My name is Tammy and I live in SW Missouri.

I too am an early riser. This is the time I have carved out for me to get my steps started for the day. I push for a full 60 minutes and/or at least 4 miles before I head out to work in the a.m. I also like the few minutes between the time I send DH off to work and I get going.

I get up about an hour before I need to and spend the time alone when the house is still quiet. I say my prayers; read a daily devotional or meditation. And watch the sun rise while I drink my coffee.

How often do you take time out from your daily tasks to spend 15 minutes for just you? What do you do?

I get so fixed on taking care of others and doing for them, I forget to take time for me. Would love to hear some new suggestions on what to do.

Strive to be the best you. Remember those who are in your life for a minute, an hour or forever all need your attention and smile.
