See the following youtube videos on Emotional Freedom Technique ( www.youtube.com/watch?v=TRq8o1MEUtU and www.youtube.com/watch?v=EVsfK3BCSX8 ) for guidance as you cope with stress. Also do things such as solving puzzles or doing exercises. Hope your daughter is still there to help out. emoticon emoticon

I saved this post as I want to help myself get thru this trying time wwhen i had to put him in to a memory facility. He is an alcoholic and did his body and mind a lot of damage til he quit. I had to quit my job to take care of him at home for many years until we couldn't do it at home anymore. I have so many different emotions going around in my head including a lot of anger so i am interested in helping myself. I spend so much time on here in the mornings that I let myself feel guilty as other things need to be done. I am 75 years old and would like to spend my last years happy and at peace. My husvand's liver is failing so he also has Hospice helping out. We had a lot of problems thru the years so I carry a lot of anger. anything I can do to help myself is a plus. georgine

This is from my own team groups re a 30 day challenge but I thought I share it here.
Challenge Day 4: Impossible to Possible-Health, Part 2
Throughout the remainder of this challenge, we are going to use EFT to change from negative thinking to positive visualization of having succeeded at reaching our health goals as we work at developing habits that will get us on the right path. Today, we are going to review the tapping process and do the first steps of developing a good tapping script/mental image to have in mind as we do the tapping and turn our visualization into action.
P.S. I got a little behind as I did not have a clear plan for achieving my goal using tapping as a means to keep me focus on my goal. I ended up reviewing many videos re tapping, achieving goals, visualization, and becoming awesome at setting and achieving goals. If you, like me are new to tapping and lack good habit forming techniques, I advise you to do the same before going on in this challenge. A good use of an hour of your time is to watch the video mindvalleyacademy.com/featured/theor
y-
of-awesomeness
, it focuses on setting goals to achieve balance in your life. Also, if your new to tapping watch some more of the you tube videos on tapping (google you tube and EFT tapping - combine with other descriptors if desired). EFT tapping has been shown to remove/reduce stress such as PTSD and allow for clarity of thinking.
For Day 4, we are going to name and visualize the advantages of forming good habits to focus on success at your health goal. I mean if you know that some situation (comment, incident, idea or some other common stress) triggers an act, e.g. binge eating to feel better, we will want to name and visualize this stress as occurring again but reacting in a positive manner as we do our tapping.
Today’s script
A) Even though [this situation (use one to four descriptive words, and visualize the situation in your mind as you tap)] has caused me to [act (use one to four words again)], I totally accept myself and the fact situation.
B) I have been thinking of [this situation] occurring again
C) I know that it caused me to delay reaching [my goal] but I totally and completely accept myself.
D) [This act] moves me further from [advantage 1 (1 of the advantages you listed in Day 3)] (name and visualized your achieving this advantage).
E) But [this situation] no longer controls me since I am committed to achieving [advantage 1]
F) Whenever [this situation] occurs, I will remind myself that I have control for at least the next 15 minutes
G) I will [do some other act] that tends to keep me in control
H) On the path to reaching [my goal]
I) And I see me having [advantage 1]
J) And I see me having [advantage 2]
K) And [et cetera]
