After almost 3 month off of cardio due to a sinous infection, and tendonitous i am finally able to do cardio again within reason. ;) Yeah!

My last 8 days I have not recorded but am taking credit for 30 minutes every day as I have finally been active again. Then the last 3 I have spent on my feet for 8+ hours volunteering for a 300 mile bike ride. I am loving it. :)

I have a home run and have rounded first again thank goodness I am doing better finally but we will see what another week brings.

Gas_Sag, that sounds really frustrating! I hate it when I get the impression that the doctors aren't listening to me. Grrrr.

Things did not go well with the MD I was told something completely differant then what PT thought and although it could be true it makes me more confused and frusterated because he did not even check the issues that PT had! And to make matters worse he put me in a boot and told me to come back in 2 weeks for a fallow up with a differant docter because he was done at the end of the month! Kind of felt like he did not even care to look at the issues. but make sure that they would be ok by putting me in the boot! On one hand it is good because it lifts my restrictions of only cycle and swimming to anything that can be done with a boot but also takes away my cycle because that can not be done with the boot! :( we will see what the 3 weeks brings and hopefully i will get better answers soon,

Man it's hot today! Even though I spent half my gardening time in air conditioning (I was watering plants, and I don't have an external faucet so that means hauling water from the kitchen) I was sweating buckets and I started overheating. So I decided to go swimming once I was done.

1875 + 60 = 1935 Today was my first day back to the gym in almost a month so friday of last week I finally got put on antibiodiocs for a sinous infection thank god I am finally starting to feel a little better there is still a long road ahead before I can back to myself 100% but I am making progress. on the other side of the coin I had a bad report from sports med. they refured me to the MD now so I am degressing instead of progressing we will see what tomarrows appointment has to bring, but I have a feeling it is bad news! :(

1675 + 200 Although I have not been keeping track of everything I have done in the last 2 weeks I am going to give my self 200 minutes because I have still been doing short workouts like 20 minute walks or a small amout of lapes in the pool as tolerated.

Will find out more info on ankle hopefully tomarrow. as for allergies still no change still tired no voice, scratchy throat, sinous pressure, headache, plugged ears and then some. Hopefully soon something will help!

1675 and holding, My ankle is feeling better but I do not go in for another week to know if it is truly getting better and I have not been on it lately so it should feel better, but on the other had I have done nothing but sleep since friday almost stupit allergies flaired and I totally feel like crap so other then working I have been sleeping. :( hopefully soon I will kick this and get back into a rutine.

My last Report was to the end of June 18, 2011 !
That was 14 days ago !
Thank goodness, I have been consistently able to do 50 Fitness Minutes a day,
consisting of 30 minutes walking, 10 minutes M.S. stretching exercises, and
10 minutes QFC.
14 days x 50 Fitness Minutes / day = 700 Fitness Minutes.
Fitness Minutes to end of June 18 = 1,700.
Fitness Minutes June 19 - July 2 = 700.
Total Fitness Minutes = 2,400 , to end of July 2, 2011.

Oh , I made a " Home Run ", when I crossed 2,000 Fitness Minutes !
I now have 400 Fitness Minutes going toward my second " Home Run " !

45 minutes swimming thursday, 20 min friday, 20 minutes saturday, 20 min bike sunday, 60 minutes gardening monday, 60 minuts walking tuesday, 2 hours riding bike last night, and 3 hours today 1 cable, 1 spinning, and 1 swimming.

Well my appointment was ok yesterday but I am not totally happy about it. basically both of the tendens holding the foot to the leg bone are stressed. He could basically dislocate my ankle without even trying, and on top of that there is also a bone chip in there. so only bike and swimming for at least 2 weeks then we will see what happens. And some stregthening extercises.

Well the news is not so good. Yesterday i gave up on doing any cardio after 15 minutes in the pool because my ankle was killing me. Today was a little better I was told I was saw at the gym so had to come to strengh but then banned from strength because of my ankle and told to do cycle. Cycle went ok but I have not been there in a few weeks so my butt was sore making me want to stand and the more I stood the more my ankle was sore so it was a no win situation. Good news is I made it the whole hour. :) After that I went and did Pilates that was good. I have an appointment for sports med next wednesday so x/rays and a strengthening programfor the ankle. hopefully it is ok news and not a walking cast or something that would be devestating for me. :(

I've not done any of my Intentional Exercise since being on here last because I have been coming off of some medications and my stomach has been upset - that and there have been a lot of storms through which I am NOT on the computer :)
I am planning on starting my Total Seated Body Workout again tomorrow now that I am feeling better. :)

My last Report was to the end of Saturday, June 4,2011.
Fitness Minutes to end of June 4,2011 = 1,000 Fitness Minutes.
Every day since then, my Fitness Minutes have been 50 Fitness Minutes/day.
The Fitness Minutes consist of : 10 minutes M.S. stretching exercises
10 minutes QFC
30 minutes walking, to a total of 50 Fitness Minutes/day.
For the last 8 days, did 8x50 Fitness Minutes/day=400 Fitness Minutes.
Bringing us to the end of Sunday, June 12, we have ( 1,000 + 400 ) Fitness Minutes.
or 1,400 Fitness Minutes.

Sorry about the fact I haven't updated in awhile.... was out of town on a writer's retreat with a friend (got a lot done, but no internet access).

525 (old minutes) + 60 minutes (walking) + 60 minutes (moving boxes) + 180 minutes (gardening) + 20 minutes (walking) + 60 minutes (walking) +60 minutes (walking) + 60 minutes (walking) + 30 minutes (walking) + 60 minutes (gardening) = 1115 minutes

Hello all, I know what you are saying and it is so funny the difference makes or a day for that matter last week we played softball for an hour in 100 degree heat and wind. This past Friday we play at 60 degrees in long selves and were cold.

that we all will be experiencing, it is important that we exercise caution,

TODAY was totally a lazy day, I can not deal too well with heat and humidity, so tend to lay low and anyways they recamond it because the heat index was/is suppose to be over 100 so I had a lunch date, dinner with the family and helped my mom water plants but did not do anything that I would personally consider cardio today.

Note to self. do not spend 3 hours in the gym on thursday when you have softball on fridays because it just dose not work well. PS I am not nearly fit enough to play catcher. Man dose my legs hurt from all that squatting.

Yesterday I took the day off because I could not at all because my legs were very sore. Today I was still feeling very sore, but did manage to get in 40 minutes in the pool. :)

950 + 40 = 990 total fitness minutes. It is so close I can taste it. :)

I have been remiss , in not keeping up with my Slo' Pitch Activity Reports !
I think that I've been feeling like a fish out of water, lately, because my Pool
is currently closed, for refurbishment ! It was closed at the beginning of May,
I believe. I heard that October 1 could be the re-open date.

Since the pool closure, my Fitness Activities have been a routine of :

doing my M.S. stretching exercises, for 10 minutes,
doing QFC for 10 minutes, and
walking for 30 minutes

Number of Fitness Minutes = 10 + 10 + 30 = 50 per day.

My records show that I had previously reported up to the end of Thursday, May 26.
Cumulative Fitness Minutes = 550.

Friday, May 27, did 50 Fitness Minutes , Cumulative = 600 Fitness Minutes.
Saturday 28, did 50 Fitness Minutes , Cumulative = 650 Fitness Minutes.
Sunday 29, did 50 Fitness Minutes , Cumulative = 700 Fitness Minutes
Monday, 30, did 50 Fitness Minutes , Cumulative = 750 Fitness Minutes.
Tuesday 31, did 50 Fitness Minutes , Cumulative = 800 Fitness Minutes.
Wednesday, 1, did 50 Fitness Minutes , Cumulative = 850 Fitness Minutes.
Thursday 2, did 50 Fitness Minutes , Cumulative = 900 Fitness Minutes,
Friday, June 3, did 50 Fitness Minutes , Cumulative = 950 Fitness Minutes.

Today, June 4 , I plan to do another 50 Fitness Minutes, bringing me up to

tonight was a full 90 minutes of softball! Oh what a blast at 99 degrees and extrem humidity!

I didn't end up getting any gardening in today--ran out of time (though I have plants and they WILL get planted tomorrow!) but I did get in a solid 90 minutes of fencing in. Whoo hoo!

AND it was a blast. And I got to practice with a new style (playing with the various parry devices) and learned some stuff.

255 (old minutes) + 90 minutes (fencing) = 345 minutes.

Today was definately a hard core day lets see it started with 60 minutes walking the track/biking then 60 minutes of cable all before 7am then lets see at noon was another 60 minutes of spinning. for a greand total of 180 minutes today. not to mention that I spent 2 hours chasing a 4yr old around the park.

My total is 680 + 180 = 860min total. :) almost to second.

Any Activity , in which you exert yourself, and bring your heart rate up -
definitely will count as a Fitness Activity. Working the soil, and planting
seeds, or bedding-out plants, will definitely count, for your Fitness Minutes !

The important thing is to have fun, participating in the Slo' Pitch Challenge !
You may end up having a lovely garden,to boot !

I have a probably ignorant question....

Do we count as exercise minutes things like every day activities? For example, I just bought a whole bunch of plants and I will need to get them planted today and tomorrow (and getting more hopefully on Saturday when we visit the farmer's market). Does gardening count toward fitness minutes?

I'm also hoping that fencing counts, because I'm gonna fence this week (yay, finally, weather permitting!)
