Actually today I want to try something different I came across in another team. It consists of taking a deck of cards and covering each card with a picture, or pictures, phrases etc., with whatever inspires, motivates or uplifts you. I got the idea from a Soul Collage Team. It's like having a visual deck of affirmation cards to look at when you are stressed or distressed to calm you down. I love to scrap book and I have a load of card decks and I think I plan on making a few different types of these soul collage card decks. While I am out today, I'll go to the dollar store to get a few new decks to use and start cutting pictures and words of inspiration.

I will be posting some ideas to this team and having to read them and post them will help me.
Spending time for ME.
Going out of my apartment to get some fresh air and healthy groceries.
Hopefully calling PRAIRIECROCUS to discuss the team and how we can help you.
Doing some more tidying up around my apartment.
Meditation using the Mindfulness program I went through.
Meditating on Scriptures handed out at the ladies Bible study last week.

Today I plan to dance for my work out (assuming that my lungs can handle it; maybe some yoga if they can't) and probably this evening unwind playing video games or maybe reading.

I'm not sure what techniques I will use. I have my regulars:
Read the Bible
Read the Psalms out loud
Read my Bible Studies
Have a nap

Others may include:
Going for a walk - weather permitting - I want to see how long it takes to walk to the nearest corner store in my new area.
Calling a crisis line if necessary
Writing a blog or Bible study or both
Spend the day writing
Call a pastor at the church and chat and pray
Play my piano
And if my back allows me to, get some organizing done.

Today I won't have a lot of time, but I will:

1) Work out, hopefully soon.
2) Read a book.
3) Have music on hand, including an "unwind" mix intended to help me relax.
4) Have some good laughs with friends.
5) Try not to sweat the small stuff.
6) Remember to eat on a regular basis
7) Take mini yoga breaks.

Every day I think it is a good idea to have in mind what techniques you will have already in mind or written down for those stressful moments we all face, so that when those moments arise, we can simply follow through on using those techniques. So, what techniques will you incorporate into your daily living for today?

I am crocheting blankets for the Humane Society.
I organize a bit everyday.
I have a nap every day because I am coming off of Valium.
I talk with my pharmacist when I'm not well to see if it is a withdrawal symptom or something else. In other words, I educate myself.
I read a book - the Anne of Green Gables series right now. Something easy to read and fun to enjoy.
