Check in

1. Don't think I managed that. Can't check this morning, already ate and drank stuff.

2. I learned to use the glucometer, but not checking twice a day. More like 4 x a week.

3. The old one is fixed!!! Yay. Or at least my mom got it to work. It has trouble shifting "gears" to become more or less hard to ride. But then, I'm not sure that's new.

Loren--thanks for the reminder.

1. Walk at least 8,000 steps. I did really well for most of November and then it got away from me. I'm back to committing to this goal.
Not going so well. I've really fallen away from this, but I also really needed some rest. I'm not moving as much as I should. I'll recommit in January. Still tracking and trying to get as many as I can, but definitely falling short.

2. Complete 900 minutes of exercise this month. I got to over 1,000 minutes last month, but I won't have leaf raking to do this month, so I'm being realistic.
I just met this one today! With a few more days in the month, I can get a few more. May not get to 1,000, but excited to have my 900 minutes.

3. Mindful eating. This will be challenging with the holidays, but it's worth the effort.
Not doing so well. Trying to eat less and better.

4. Read or cross stitch for at least 30 minutes a day.
Been doing well on this one.

Okay the month is almost over so time to a check up.

kay, seems like a good time to check in

1. Get in at least 10,000 steps per day
This continues to go well!

2. WT at least three times per week - This is still really spotty. WT might be one exercise, not great.

3. Eat a 'salad' everyday
Some days are better than others, but I am on a roll.

4. Stop eating when full or not hungry.
Yes and no. Been eating too much junk, but not to stuffed.

5. Complete paining projects
DONE!

6. Make some 2020 goals or at least Q1/January goals
Posted. Some are shorties and some are longer, but I like a mix with some wins!

1. I'm at 242.4 as of this morning. Forgot to weigh in at beginning of month, but I'll see if I'm at 241.0 or so next Thursday.

2. I started this, then couldn't get it to work. First time I inserted test strip wrong end, then I didn't put enough blood on. Then I kind of ran out of time, and didn't get back to it.

Tonight would be a GREAT time to try again.

3. Did some checking on the old one. It needs the battery compartment cleaned out (leaky batteries) and maybe a new lid for the compartment.

House cleaning: A constant struggle!

Jeff

Not going so well. I'm probably averaging a little over 8,000 steps per day, but not meeting my goal at all. Working on improving on this one.

2. Complete 900 minutes of exercise this month. I got to over 1,000 minutes last month, but I won't have leaf raking to do this month, so I'm being realistic.
I'm on track on this one. I currently have over 600 minutes and with about 1/3 of the month left, I should make this goal.

3. Mindful eating. This will be challenging with the holidays, but it's worth the effort.
Not doing so well. Trying to eat less and better.

4. Read or cross stitch for at least 30 minutes a day.

I've been doing random WT activities 5 days a week. Not a routine, but better than nothing.

3. Eat a 'salad' everyday
I am so glad romaine is back! Doing pretty good here.

4. Stop eating when full or not hungry.
Decently. Given the holidays not bad at all.

5. Complete paining projects

6. Make some 2020 goals or at least Q1/January goals

It went well.

Thanks! :-)

I didn't even think about the soda. I took a bottle of iced tea to work, and had a coffee there, and that was enough.

MARCHEM,

Well I let myself have two cans of DIET pespi today, because work bought pizza for a training day.

The real test will be walking past the vending machine tomorrow morning and NOT buying anything.

But if you would, could you post a pic of the yard with all the creatures? OR at least some of them?

That is great news on the soda!! I know that has been an issue with you for a while so I am glad you kicked it! Yah!

Most of the creatures live in the yard. Many of them are rather large (like a 6'4" mantis) and not for sale. There have been a few things that he has parted with either for sale or as gifts. We do get a lot of inquires from people going by :).

Do you guys sell them after you make them?

Also, I just realized I have good news. I had started drinking soda again, but I quit. So I'm soda free for about two months, with the exception of maybe two special occasions.

Hi.

So I am still considering my plans too, but I think it will have to do with losing weight and getting fit.

Oh! Of course, that's the point of SparkPeople, BUT I finally accomplished some other goals and am ready to work on physical health.

Preliminary:

1. ACTUALLY lose 5 pounds this month.
2. Learn to use my glucometer and start checking twice a day.
3. Get a new exercise machine. (needs a bit of consideration & research)

Oh and still working on getting my section of the house clean. I'll be taking a garbage bag or two full old shirts in to donate tomorrow. I'm gonna cut down to one drawer full.

So right after Thanksgiving seems like a good time to work on December goals.

So, for the last month of the year, what are your plans?

I'm still considering mine. DH will be recovering from eye surgery, so my usually time is not my own until he can be more independent. Makes things a little more complex.
