Glad you got a good night sleep. Things have sounded a bit stressed for you.

Good run

Nice easy run with a fast finish, negative splits
I miss your enjoyment level rating

Nice!

SATURDAY
Easy Run
Distance: 6 miles (6.5 miles total)
Location: Gym Track
Intervals:
:30/:30 (3-4)
:30/:20 (5-6)

Mile Splits: 12:34 / 12:08 / 10:37 / 10:20 / 9:37 / 9:35

Notes: For the first two miles, I walked one lap, ran one lap to warm up. I switched on the Gymboss for miles 3-6. I didn't feel really warmed up until after mile 3. Then my stride loosened up and I started feeling much more relaxed. I got a good night's sleep last night and did not feel particularly tired going into this run.

Good for you, keeping workouts regular but being careful not to overdo it.
That is quite an incline on the treadmill, I know when hikes are rated 20%, that is a challenging grade. I am curious to try the treadmill inclines at the gym now.

Good job, was wondering what was up with you. Seemed way too quiet. Gosh your cats and kittens are having a touch time. Have you thought of finding an closer vet? Given the number of cats you have any disease can really require a lot of vet time.

WEDNESDAY
Duration: 1 hour
Activity: Walk on treadmill at steep incline

Notes: I was too exhausted to run today. But I did walk at 25%, 20%, and 15% incline for an hour to get some cardio stimulation.

THURSDAY
Easy Run
Distance: 4 miles (6 miles total)
Location: Gym Track

Mile Splits: 12:40 / 11:17 / 11:39 / 10:47

Notes: I went into the run still feeling tired, but not as bad as yesterday. But my energy level picked up a bit as the run progressed. There is just too much going on in my life at the moment to really focus on running. But I'm not going to push it. Just keep doing what I can.

You are starting to ramp up and it is all good.
Best wishes on your longer run tomorrow

Your laps are shorter than track laps, how many to the mile again?

SUNDAY
Run by Time
Time: 90 minutes
Distance: 7.6 miles (8 miles total)
Location: Gym Track
Enjoyment Level: 3 (out of 3)

Miles Splits: 12:51 / 12:03 / 11:53 / 11:49 / 11:45 / 11:40 / 11:24 / (6:41)

Notes: My goal today was to get more time on my feet. I wanted to keep the pace easy, so I ran by time rather than distance -- 90 minutes, which is 30 minutes longer than I've run since my bout with the flu.

I find that running by time works better for me when I want to keep an easy pace. For some reason (perhaps this is true for everyone else, too), when I run by distance, even though I tell myself to keep it slow, there is still this little voice in the back of my head saying "you can get done sooner if you speed up." Well, when you run by time, that's not true. You just run farther. No matter the pace, I was going to be out there for 90 minutes. Might as well slow down and enjoy it. The psychology is interesting, but real.

Rather than use the gym boss, I decided to just walk a lap, run a lap. In the latter part of the run, I extended the run lap just a little by starting a bit before the beginning of the lap, but walk a lap, run a lap was basically what I did for the entire run. It made for a very easy run, which was just what I wanted.

Tomorrow, assuming my schedule cooperates, my target is 2 hours.
