I'm obviously not a rower because it's all Greek to me.

Sounds complicated. I'm only familiar with the technique for the single scull.

Outside designed to drill into your body the idea that outside arm controls the oar height and to teach where that height is. When sweeping the inside arm, closest to the oar lock. feathers the blade and the outside arm controls the handle heigh. Handle height is what give you the blade depth and effects the set of the boat. The set being whether you are on keel or down to port or starboard.

Is the outside arm only drill designed to strengthen you for the sweep row?

Wednesday. PM. Rowed 18 k, warm up, 2x 4 (20 strokes full pressure 20 strokes 3/4). Did outside arm only with square blade drills.

Thursday should be a rest day.

Glad to hear you got in another practice with your rowing friends. I would imagine you will miss them.

Great run.... especially given the heat!

Did the early morning sculling practice. My last one before the move.
7km total, 2k warm up, 5k continuous piece with power 10's thrown in, in a double

Then some coffee and some socializing

Then running. This was later than I really like to start. Temperatures ended up between 75 and 82. Did 6x 800 I did a 1.5 mile warmup with my HRM making sure I stay below 70% max. This gets me to the park which is relatively flat, Then I had programmed in my Garmin 0.5 miles followed by 0.25 mile rest. The rest is with my HRM and what I had been doing is walking until I hit the under 70% zone and then light running keeping my HR down. Sometimes I've chosen to just walk and then I hit the lap button to move on the the run when I've walked between 2:30 and 3:00. Today given the fact that it was a bit warm I walked the whole 0,25 miles. Paces for the repeats were 8:42, 8:28. 8:24, 8:25,8:36, 8:19. Kind of interesting, for my neighborhood I think of the loops I'm running as flat/ However there are short sections with some uphill slant and sharp turns and at this speedwork pace you can feel it.

Finished with 1.5 mile easy run to get back home. 7.75 miles total

I'm curious about your prep for Wineglass. Are you planning to do 23 and 26 mile long runs or just figure your base is good enough (which it probably is) without them?
