Woohoo. Started a bit early to challenge myself. Kinda get over that mindless (do I have to?) attitude, so Doug and I took the dogs out for what was supposed to be just a short walk. We hiked through trails and beautiful water areas for an hour!

Bloodsugars are Normal (you wouldn't know I'm diabetic) and breakfast was balanced. emoticon

Praying that everyone has a great day tomorrow and perseveres through this challenge to a healthier YOU!

HISIRISHGEM, Wow! That sounds like a fantastic idea. I've done protein shakes before and liked them just fine. I hadn't gotten back into them this go around, but that sounds like something I could easily do. :D

And for yesterday, calorie count was 1932, right in my range of 1660 to 2010. Woohoo!

Phoukalady. Have you ever tried Kashi Lean Protein Shakes? They are REALLY high in protein 29gms, REALLY high in Fiber 7gms and have whole grains that keep your insulin stable and keep you full.

My suggestion is to add that into your daily calorie snack when you get the most hungry. Keep in mind it's 300 calories with fat free milk. But I find I get my chocolate fix while stablizing my bloodsugars and it keeps me full for awhile. I do one at night before bed. You may do yours for a snack after your lunch before you leave work. That way, you won't sabbatage yourself.

I have bought the Fit & Fresh shaker to go with my protein shake. It has a place on the bottom that unscrews for the powder, a place for your milk, a piece which mixes the mix and milk together without leaving the grains as wellas a cool ice pack to keep your shake cold. Also they have these cool smart portion control containers that portions anywhere from 1 cup to 2 cups.

I have found them retailed at target and our local wegmans grocery store. You may want to check around.

They are AWESOME. I bought my husband the salad shaker and lunch on the go container for work. I'm trying to help him portion as well. emoticon

Just thought I'd post some helpful tips that have helped me deal with portion control and my own deep need for food. It's really helped and I'm well on my way to better glucose control and hopefull will find weightloss a bit easier emoticon

Well, yesterday didn't go so well. I hit 2161 calories, when my upper limit is 2010. I've found that if I eat Lean Cuisine for lunch, I absolutely MUST supplement it with something else, or by the time I leave work, I'm ready to kill and eat the first thing that crosses my path. Yesterday, it just happened to be some Ben and Jerry's.

Note to self: plan better.

This is my first challenge but I am in!

My calorie range is between 1200-1550 calories.

Yesterday I ate 1271 calories.
I exercised for one hour.

I am going to Miami today for fun, but know I will be in check with all the South Beach Restaurants.

Hi All,
We'll start a new challenge for 3 weeks emoticon , the rules of this challenge is posting everyday
how many calories we ate & ur calories range.
& how many min we exercised.
& post our weigh in every week.

We give 20 points for every day u didn't exceed ur calories range & 1 point for every minute exercise!
