Still hanging in there with daily exercise. I've already met my goal of 1200 cardio minutes for July! And soon I'll cross the 300-day mark in my daily exercise streak.

I'll join the challenge but I'll have to start tomorrow. I'll get plenty of exercise next week. I'm planning to do my 30 minute workout every morning and do some cleaning each night after work.

I had a bad day yesterday too. Went over like about 200 calories, and I'm sick, so I didn't get to the gym. I went for a short walk though, and did some floor exercises. It just drives me crazy when I can't get a good workout everyday.

I went kayaking with my husband today... or rather, he got into his kayak and fell asleep, while I got into mine, paddled around the lake, and supposedly burned 450 calories! :)
(but I went a teeny-tiny bit over my calorie limit today - not even 50 calories - so that kinda spoils it for me....)

Does it count for two days exercise if you do two sessions in one day?
After all, rest is an important part of any exercise routine!

Did a little change-up yesterday - no cardio to speak of, but a half hour of core exercises. I'm feeling it today but in a not-so-bad way. Off to the gym tomorrow. Because of my funny schedule these days, I haven't been there in over a week.

@ AJRankin: me too! I find also that listening to music helps some, but I love listening to books-on-tape while I'm on the treadmill. I would watch a movie, but we don't have a DVD player in our bedroom and I don't really like watching TV. So I got a book out of the library on tape, and I only listen to it on the treadmill. It's like a treat that I can only have when I'm working out :)
I'm in for this goal! I'm doing strength training MWF, and cardio every day - right now I can't run 5 mph for more than 5 min, so I want to work up to 15-20 min at 5 mph. Baby steps :) Today I'm planning on 30 min on the treadmill.

Hi, I walk for 75 minutes many weekdays with a friend. However, when one of us can't walk, I usually don't walk. This challenge will be good for me. My friend can only walk three days this week. So I will meet the challenge and walk the other three days on my treadmill for 30 minutes.

Hi Donna,

I often find the treadmill a little boring and find it much more interesting if I have a show or a movie to watch at the same time. Music also helps for some people, but I find I need the visual stimulation.

Good for you and congrats on the square dancing. Sounds like a lot of fun.

Hi, I'm brand new to this and have been at my desk (homeschooling) or doing sit down hobbies most of my life. I've never exercised regularly so this will be challenging for me. The good news is that I've been square dancing for almost a year now and in fact will be dancing tonight at from 7pm-9:30pm. I danced two 3 hours dances this last week or so! I have so much stamina now that I want to do more and that's how I discovered Spark. I will be using a treadmill borrowed from my daughter in law in between dances.

Rossirun, same here - I do 30 minutes a day, although some days it's just an easy walk and bit of ST. Other days, like yesterday, I get in a longer (50 minute) run. Loving that I can exercise outdoors this time of year!

I'm in! I walked today for about 50 minutes and yesterday too- but I guess yesterday doesn't count since the challenge was issued today. All the more motivation to meet the goal for the week. I need goals and accountability to be sucessfull:)

I am really working on upping my exercise so I have set myself a goal for this week to exercise 6 times this week. I'll likely rest on Sunday!Anyone else want to join me????
