Summer Time….and the living is easy…..

That’s always been one of my favorite songs, but we know that there’s nothing easy about summer time when you’re trying to lose weight! And all those bikini-clad bodies on the beach just add to the stress…and wearing shorts....well don’t get me started!

Or am I totally off base….Summer time is ALSO a time of great fresh produce! Blueberries, Strawberries and Tomatoes are all fresh and easier to find locally grown in the summer. Also, the days are long and sunny, so even after a long day at work, there’s still a lot of sun to enjoy with a workout outside – whether it’s doing jumping jacks in the backyard, walking home from work, or playing tag with the kids!

So here’s the challenge for this week….. Sticking with the three core principles of Spark (Fitness, Nutrition and Motivation), celebrate all the things that summer has to offer!
