Hi all,

I won't be updating my info for the rest of June. I actually felt stressed this AM when I checked the scale.

I have been running longer and biking harder than ever before. I feel good. I don't need a weekly weigh-in to update, even if nobody reads it. I would like to lose 8 more lbs and reach my final goal weight, but much more than that, I want to feel strong, happy and healthy. Reporting numbers on a scale is tracking a goal I don't care too much about, and if it causes stress if I don't meet it as quickly as I'd like, that's counterproductive for me.

I really do hope it is helpful for the rest of you.

Note that I do not weigh weekly - I find it too frustrating. I measure myself instead. I find I have not been "losing weight" but my clothes are getting baggy and I've gone down one size since April. So are the scales telling me the truth?

I plan on running a 5K in June.

I did not meet my weight loss goal but I did meet my C25K training goal and did finish. I also ran a 5K in June. I lost track of my fitness minutes a long time ago.

plan to lose weight 2 lbs a week and at leastt 150 fitness mins a weeker.starting week-between 210-212.

Indian standard Time!Now 54 yrs old.Had a Sleeve Gastrectomy and like most of us who have had this survey-it is a welcome surgery and ,howeer a radical lifestyle change-in diet,exercise,evrything.Weight is down by 20 kilos.That is a whole new me but I need to lose a couple of 5 more kilose hopefully due to newly diagnosed psoriatic arthritis.Well here's to all of us ,everybody!I am on a new challenge that

June Determination Challenge

Continuing with our monthly challenge!

I had sent out an e-mail asking for suggestions on how to ramp up this challenge a bit! I received many responses and most of them focused on fitness minutes or miles! I know that all team members are aware of my husband accident this past weekend, so I am going to add just a little more to this challenge for the month of June, I hope that in future months it gets even butter. Remember, I am always open to any suggestions!

This month we will focus on both pounds lost and fitness minutes! At the end of the month the goodies will be given to the biggest looser and the member with the most fitness minutes.

I will use the post to this thread for the pounds lost! For the fitness minutes I will use the team goal on the team home page! It automatically has all the members in it, and the winner will be selected based upon them signing up for the challenge in this thread!

This challenge will begin on June 1, 2010 and run through June 30, 2010!

To get started in this challenge please:

1.) Decide on your goals for June, and either write them on your Sparkpage or in your blog! Be sure to update your SparkPage if your previous months goals are on it!!

2.) Post your information by replying this thread; here is an example. NOTE: You will edit this weekly instead of creating a new thread!

When posting your weekly weight (for those that will) you can also post your BMI, which can be calculated at www.nhlbisupport.com/bmi/ , this is just another tool to see how you are doing.

It is encouraged that each participate go to other team member pages and look at their goals for this challenge and help keep them accountable by either posting on their sparkpage, or on the daily chat thread!

The best way to make this challenge work for you is to set your goal(s) and post them everywhere! Make a commitment to yourself to complete this challenge! No giving up!

Visualize yourself completing this challenge; how you will feel once you complete it!

If you havent already, add your location to the team map, add the team goals.

Make sure that you have an exercise plan, and while you are planning, plan your meals be prepared anything!
