Starting again on Day 9

Things have really gone pear-shaped these few months and I had given up tracking nutrition and exercise. Today is a new day and I will get back on track. I have planned my meals for the day and tracked them and will now get started on the exercise.

I have read day 9 again and I am ready to put all doubts behind and focus on the successes I have had in the past and will have again. I will not worry about the backsliding which is in the past, just the months and months of hard work and success which enabled me to keep going.

In June next year we have booked ourselves onto a cruise to Iceland and so every time I feel like neglecting my goals I will remind myself of the goal - to be fit and a healthy weight to enable myself to enjoy the holiday to the full.

Keep going - I find the scales go up & down around 2-3lb during a week - as long as you are sticking to your plan - the trend will be downwards.

This video on TEDX by Mel Robbins really 'stuck' in my head when I watched it a while back - it's very American - but if you can get past that, I think it's really helpful. She basically says - you're never going to 'feel like it'.

1st March - Day 1 - I used to be that way but now I am different. In the past I have lost weight and then got discouraged and regained it. Now I will be different. Things have to change and they will change. I am more determined than ever that I will succeed.
I used to slip off my nutrition plans for the day and eat badly and say to myself that tomorrow I would make a new start. Tomorrow never came. Now it has come and I am a dfferent person
2nd March - Day 2 - I am committed to staying on track. If things happen where I eat unwisely, then I will not continue to do that. I can have the occassional treat without losing my commitment to continue onwards. Even if the scales go backwards - I commit to staying on track.
3rd March - Day 3 - I truly don't feel like exercise today, but I am going to do it anyway. I will take Daisy for a 30 minute walk. I have regained 1.5 this week through blowing it on Monday. I feel a bit like giving up and giving in to temptation, but I won't. I am committed to sticking it out through thick and thin.
