I only lost three pounds in July; I was glad I lost but, of course I wanted to lose more. This month I am determined to do better. I have started two important challenges that I know will motivate me and give me the results I desire.

Today, I am accountable for my good health.

Hey Bodacious Ladies,
The last week, mmm make that 2 weeks, I didn't track much because I was sick and wasn't eating like I should. Now, I notice that this trend is trying to establish residency status! Can't let this happen I have got to evict it before it gets another foot in through the door. Starting right now, my number one goal is to get rid of this no tracking devil that is trying to take over control of me.

Okay, I haven't tracked anything for the first half of this week so this is for today and the rest of the week

06/24 - 06/27

Stay in calorie range ...... 4/7
Eat at least 2 servings of fruits ...... 4/7
Eat at least 3 servings of vegetables ...... 4/7
Get between 25g and 35g of fiber ...... 4/7
Drink at least 8 cups water daily ...... 4/7
Track calorie intake daily ...... 4/7

Do at least 30 min cardio (at least 5 days) ...... 4/7
Strength train at least 3 days ...... 4/7

Visit and leave a comment on a teammateís page/blog ...... 3/7
No eating after 8 pm ...... 3/7

You all have a great day!

Oooo. Member coming out from behind the scenes here. LOL. I'm all late. I need to be more active.
Anyhoo.
This week, I will concentrate on eating. Lawd knows I need help there. Starting tomorrow I will be doing a "detox." Just fruits, veggies/beans/salad, brown rice, yogurt, grains, & egg whites. (Lawd help me.) I've done it before to jump start some weight loss, & I know I can do it again. SO, the goal is to eat ONLY what's on my menu.

Hi guys,
Sorry I have not been more active but these past few days the chores of every day living some how have taken over control of my time leaving me with very little or no time to interact with my Spark teams. I hope this week I will be able to take back control.

The flu/cold has knocked me out this weekend. Today is a little bit better than yestersday but I don't think I will be able to do a full workout as planned. I will see how I feel and If I cant do all 3 sets then I'll cut it down to 2 or even 1.

6/14 - 6/20

These are the goals I will be concentrating on this month -

Daily Goals
Calories: 1500 - 2000 = ............................ 0/7
Fat: 44 - 55g = .................................... 0/7
Protein: 132g - 175g ............................... 0/7
Carb: 150g - 200g = ................................ 0/7
Potasium: 3500mg - 6000mg .......................... 0/7
Calcium: 100mg - 150mg ............................. 0/7
Sodium: 500mg - 2300mg = ........................... 0/7
Magnesium: 100mg -125mg = ......................... 0/7
Fiber: 25g - 35g = ................................. 0/7
Sleep: 7 - 8 hrs = ...............................0/7
Weekly Goals:
Cardio:
1. HIIT(20 - 30 min) x 3/wk = ....................0/3
2. LISS (45 - 60 min) x 3/wk = ...................0/3
Strength Training:
1. Mondays and Thursdays - upper body(40 - 60 min) = 0/2

Daily Goals
Calories: 1500 - 2000 = ............................ 6/7

Calcium: 100mg - 150mg ............................. 4/7
Sodium: 500mg - 2300mg = ........................... 6/7
Magnesium: 100mg -125mg = ......................... 1/7
Fiber: 25g - 35g = ................................. 6/7
Sleep: 7 - 8 hrs = ...............................0/7
Weekly Goals:
Cardio:
1. HIIT(20 - 30 min) x 3/wk = ....................2/3
2. LISS (45 - 60 min) x 3/wk = ...................2/3

2. Tuesdays and Fridays - lower body(40 - 60 min) = 2/2
3. Wednesdays and Saturdays) - core(30 - 45 min) = 1/2

Notes:
Overall, I did not do too bad. I stayed within my calorie range, did all my exercise, and was in range for most of the nutrients. My problem is with calcium(mostly over my range) and magnesium(mostly under range)! Also, although I am mostly in range with carbs, protein and fat I am not getting them in the ratio I am aiming for. Will focuss on these problem areas this week.

Life has taken over once again, I have not exercised like I want to since Saturday. I am a little down but each day I make sure I move around at work, taking the stairs frequently and when I get home I don't sit until I eat and then not again until I check message boards before bed. I just have to take it one day at a time.

Happy Sunday accountability partners!
emoticon I am so happy that this is helping us to keep us focussed!
We are at the beginning of a new week and a new month(less a few hours). If you havn't done so yet, its time to long on what we have done for the past week/month and make changes. If we didn't do as well as we expected, its a chance for a do over! If we did great, then its time to up the ante - challenge ourselves to do better!
I know that losing weight is a very hard task - don't let anyone fool you and say its not - and thats why we have to be prepared to fight tooth and nail to be successful in getting to our goal!
Lets give it our best shot!

I will fit in at least 30 minutes of cardio for the rest of this week. I need to remember that I can break it up through my day, ten in the am, 20 at lunch and when I can 20 after work. That way I can exceed 30 a day. I am stretching every morning and that has made a huge difference in how I feel.

Good morning ladies,
Thanks for joining me on this challenge! I know that we can do this. trying to do it by ourselves is so much harder than when we have the support of others cheering us on while keeping us on our toes! We are off to a good start lets keep it up

Gloria, that was a very motivating post! If that 90 year old lady ... with all she has going against her ... can do it, so can I!

Yesterday was a very busy day for me but I made sure I got my exercise in. At one point I had thoughts of putting off the strenth training portion of the exercise plan but then I told myself that I couldn't do that because I had written it in my accountability plan so I better get it over and done with so I squeezed out some time and did it!

I know that sometimes we get overwhelmed with things we want to do in the little bit of time that we got! so I am going to share one of my favorite quote that I reflect on when things start to get crazy and I feel like there is so much to do and I am getting no where! The words are from a song by India Arie
Just for today
I will not worry what tomorrow will bring, no
Iím gonna try something new and walk through this day
Like Iíve got nothing to prove, yeah
Although I have the best intentions
I can't predict anyones reactions
So Iíll just do my best
I'll put one foot in front of the other
Keep on moving forward
And let God do the rest

Toyenita - Welcome to the challenge! Glad you've some me time.

emoticon Fitness Fact to Share: No matter how poor your current level of fitness, you can start an exercise routine and become fitter and healthier. Even 90-year-old women who use walkers have been shown in studies to benefit from light weight training.

For most of us losing weight is a challenge! It is not an easy task Ö it takes a lot of consistent effort to get those unwanted pounds to fall off. We all start off with good intentions Ö exercise x times per week, eat x amount of calories etc. Then a few weeks roll by and reality sets in - life as we know it continues like it normally does! Inconsistency begin to step in and our will power to do what it takes to get us to our goal begins to step out! We all know that if we allow our will power to slip through that door then we can kiss good by to weight loss success!
The only way to prevent this from happen is by keeping our motivation running at full speed! What better way to do this than by holding yourself accountable to a group of friends/people who share similar goals - weight loss - and are more than likely going through the same struggles to stay on track!
With this in mind I am challenging you Bodacious ladies to:
set a goal and schedule for exercise each week (such as ďIíll exercise three times this week for at least 30 minutes). Also set a day mid week to evaluate how well you are sticking with your plans. Adapt them if necessary -- or play makeup. For instance, if by Wednesday, you havenít done any exercise, you know you need to exercise each day for the rest of the week to meet your goal. You can set whatever goals that suits your plan. If at the end of the week you met your goal you reward yourself with a star emoticon
Is anyone interested in doing this with me?

Jen
