All these ideas sound great. Count me in on walking 5 miles per week and collecting cans for a food bank too...oops..I see this is an old post..how about repeating it. Great idea about being proactive to prevent holiday weight gain too.

Yea. Sounds good. That's why I wanted to do the weighins. So people would look forward to winning and just play the game. I'll try to think of something. That sounds great!

What about trying something fun, silly and/or new at least once a week and posting here or linking to a blog about it? Most of us think of exercise as a chore - by making a game of it, it can be fun instead. I like learning about others' new ideas so things don't get boring.

WHat do you think?

I support both of you ladies! Were all made different so what ever we can is good enough and i really love the can idea....I think I will even challenge myself to walk the mile with all the cans i collected in two weeks otherwise it may be beyond something manageable.....sort of like carrying all the weight that I can let go of and be a blessing to another.

Sounds great to me! I could make a kind of.. check in thread where we emoticon when we've walked that day or accomplished the mls? For the people who couldn't walk that far, I could make something easier. Just as long as everyone moves that works for me. That sounds great! Im gonna write that down and figure out how to do it and everything. I guess I could send a mass email about it and whoever wants to join could? And then we'd go from there.

Some people can't get a mile in unless you wear a pedometer which would be great...that might be my next treat to myself...so perhaps 5 miles a week at least...something to think about to since it's not always all about us...is for every 10 miles put a can of food in a bag and when it's full, take it to your local food bank...in the past I've been underemployed and a single Mom so the Food Bank was a real blessing...now I try and give back when I can...anyways...just a thought

How about a jump start on keeping off those holiday pounds away. It can be as easy as walking 1-mile daily for 1-month?

I really wanna make this team fun and exciting for everyone. Do you all have any ideas or specific challenges or games you'd like to do or be apart of? Young/older doesn't matter. I can make it fun for everyone. What I would like to do is for people to pledge some fitness minutes and we could see how close we came to the total. Everyone can do something. We have to get into the mindset of losing weight. So.. any ideas??
