I just don't always have fresh fruit and veggies. I did get some oranges and lemons yesterday. I will eat the oranges and put the lemon ice in cubes.

It is hard for me to get my spouse to eat much vegetables. I've tried lots of things.

Oh - haven't posted here for ages - yesterday was broccoli, cauli, carrot, red grapefruit and banana.

I did it today which is Saturday. However, the pear wasn't fully ripe and the apple was too old. I ate 3/4 of that.

No exercise, it was raining hard. I will be back Monday and answer whatever is posted.

For dinner tonite I microwaved a Stouffers FitKitchen Pork Carnitas Bowl (Diced pork with black beans, red & green peppers and onions over brown rice & quinoa in a spicy chili sauce)
In a skillet I sautéed a large onion & shredded carrots, then added a bag of frozen corn and one can each of black beans and diced tomatoes, seasoning that with a bit of turmeric, cumin and chili powder. Then stirred in the contents of the Bowl to the skillet.
So I had about 1/3 cup of each of the veggies and probably about 1/4 of the packaged bowl (which contained 12 grams of fat), Hubby liked it too, and I have enough left-overs for at least another meal for us.
I put my dinner in the Bowl so I could better sense portion control. If I'd eaten the Bowl as packaged it would have been 380 calories. My meal ended up being less than 300 calories and way more veggies.

I think I only had 4 myself.

I just saw I gained 2 lbs. I'm thinking, why, I stopped eating all those holiday foods. Well yesterday we finished up our ham. That is probably the salt.

that is easier than most, because 7 days is more doable than 30. I got some apples, and have to see what else is available, without going to the store.

So far, today I had 1/2 lemon in my water and should have one or two tonight.

I'm trying to eat more veggies, but I don't know if I got all the colors and varieties. My husband hardly eats any.


When I'm not out of produce.. I try and have some fruit of some kind and at least one serving or two of veggies.
