I shall keep you all posted. Thanks for the thoughts and prayers. Thank goodness I have a laptop I can use during the time I cannot come downstairs to use the bigger computer!

Gabi - What a wonderful way to start the New Year! My younger son went to Cuba several years ago and absolutely loved it. Since then he's traveled to many places around the globe, but still says that Cuba is one of his favourite trips.

MaryBeth - Keep us posted with your recovery after the surgery. You will be in my thoughts and prayers.

I want to become more proactive in trying to remedy / improve upon some of the health issues I presently have, and do not take care of properly. I need to be more honest with myself first and foremost, about all the excuses that come so easily.

I really want to get a Y membership for myself and my youngest, but am afraid that I won't make the effort to go there regularly enough to make good use of the cost of the membership.... especially if the weather is bad.

Every January most of us make plans to do things differently or better - and often give our selves goals that are too big - and there fore give up on them too soon.

For me I plan on doing things kind of the same way - only slightly tweaked - small increases or decreases - this way they will become habit ( fingers crossed) - I simply want to do better.

I also want to become more involved in my community - outside of work and home - not sure what that will be at this point - this is just at the idea stage so far.

That pool/community centre that is re-opening near me - finally - should open up a few opportunities - so I remain hopeful.

I have declared to my family that 2013 is MY year as I turn 60 in December - and I am starting off with a trip to Cuba with my sisters - we leave on January 5th - so 2013 starts off with a bang for sure.

Happy New Year to you all - a wish for us all is peace and contentment and good health .
