I should count cardio minutes as I run around chasing Duffy to get, "whatever the heck she thinks she has to have but shouldn't" out of her mouth. Does that count for her or my core??? emoticon

You girls are too funny! The thing is, I was being SERIOUS. The person who wrote that ad must have been chuckling to himself..."I wonder how much money we can rake in before all those gullible people discover that their dogs can't follow an exercise video."

There should be something on the Fitness Tracker called "JULIE JOKES" It could be under the ab workouts... because I really get an ab workout with her jokes! Although I think I might also need a seat belt installed on my computer chair so I can stop falling off so often when I'm cracking up!! LOL!!

I love Julie's sense of humor!

Wait! They may be onto something...Jolie has always a problem spot near her spay scar.

This is hilarious (until you realize somebody will really pay for it)!

Having said that, it's been so hot in Texas that Jolie might actually consider a home gym! emoticon

This is what cracked me up in the ad: (Do they really think people are going to fall for this stuff?)

* Improved reaction and control (Yeah, my dogs don't run to the back window barking fast enough when a squirrel is on the back deck. 'Control?' Does that mean they stop before their faces smash into the glass door?)

* Increased trunk and core strength (Huh?)

* Stabilization of weak areas (Like that ball is going to help their brains.)

* Improved balance and proprioception (awareness of the body's position in space)
(Aware of the body's position in SPACE? My dogs are only concerned with their position as it pertains to the food dish. As for balance, I haven't noticed them falling over lately. Maybe it's ME who needs the balance ball.)

* Increased range of motion in joints and elongation of the muscles
(Yeah, they definitely need more range of motion and elongation for a busy day of lying in the sun.)

* Improved sensory and body awareness
(Are they kidding? If their senses were any more improved, they could smell even MORE dead things in which to roll. And BODY AWARENESS?!?! Body awareness?!? My dogs are only aware of other animals, real or imagined, and which human happens to be eating at any one moment. Can you just hear it? "Does my butt look smaller when I keep my tail down?" "How do you like my new haircut? I don't look like a poodle, do I?" "Oh no, I'm starting to look a bit pudgy. Better go hop on my balance disc and do some core work." "I wish my owner wouldn't put this silly dress on me - it's just not my color!" As if!

becky, i think they stole your idea.... our westie fan team icon is a westie on a stability ball.... you should get compensation !!!! lol

i would like to know whose dog could do the doggie exercises.... they even have an exercise dvd !! kirby and la la la run up to me and give me westie kisses while i'm on the stability ball but i don't think they would exercise on one.

Doggy gyms!! Are you kidding?? You're right! Whatever happened to the walk? Hmmm... Buddy hasn't been on a walk since it got so hot! He would need doggy booties for his little tootsies!

Debra (Mamabearlicious) sent me this link suggesting that I post it wherever I thought appropriate. It almost got put under Doggy Jokes, but I think these people are serious. Well, serious about making money off of gullible pet owners, anyway. I mean, honestly, would YOUR dog actually stand on one of these things with his front paws while "working his core?" I think not. I mean, every time my doxies move they're working their core because that's all they are - a core with four little legs and a small head attached. (It's small because they don't need much room for the amount of brain material they have.)

Anyway, Debra and I hope this is helpful to those of you who would like to invest in a doggy gym. Let us know what you think!
