my husband gets the shots for the cows from jeffers and i checked on the order we had dogs and they sent a dog catalog. i just saw the product and when we do the next order i'm going to get one. we have always just pulled them off too but last summer we had one to leave the head in. it was hard for joseph to get it out. so when i saw this product say it leaves the head intact i knew i'll be getting one !!!!! i'm like you i just can't stand those blood sucking devils !!! emoticon

That is great information. Here's the link to that product. Have you had to use it much? I hate, HATE, HATE ticks, but I have learned to deal with them by just plucking them off. Every spring we have to deal with them whether we like it or not (sometimes even in the winter.)

This item is even cheaper on Jefferspet.com.

that's great information, becky. we have a big problem here with the ticks too because of all these pine trees. there is a product available at www.jefferspet.com called ticked off that you remove ticks with. it kinda looks like a plastic spoon with a division down the middle. it removes the tick intact so you don't have to worry about the head coming off. it sales for $3.29.

Ticks thrive in woody, grassy and brushy areas and carry diseases such as Rocky Mountain spotted fever and Lyme disease. That's why it's essential to keep them off your pet. Here is a link with a few steps to ensure your pet is tick free.
