Oh, Katherine, some did the dishes for you... on purpose? Must be nice! lol

Let's see, walk away the pounds video this evening - 2 miles. I want to focus on veggies and fruit right now. But I notice when I focus on other things, things like water intake kinda go by the wayside. I can't focus on several goals at once! lol

Something good.... something good.... oh, I managed to have lunch with a good friend that I haven't seen or talked to in a while.... and we live in the same small town, for crying out loud!

Candy, you are making me look bad. LOl Great job girl.

I need to get more water down. I will work on that tomorrow. No exercise for me, spent the day doing Christmas cards.

My DH did the dinner dishes last night for me and that was a nice surprise.

I drank 80 oz. of water today, did all my exercises and stayed below my calorie range today.

I am thankful for a boyfriend who cares for me.

I've started doing a little more walking since my back got hurt. Did 2 miles yesterday and so far 1 mile today.

I'm thankful for my library class, that always brings a smile to my face.

To help me stay on track this month, I'm setting a nutrition goal other than calories. I have the calorie thing well in control. What I need is more veggies. So my goal is to eat more veggies.

We got some decorating done and the cleaning caught up with. I got in everything food under calorie limit, water 10 glasses, and did my exercises. After group in the morning I am going to get the Christmas cards done. I have a little something for the family and will get that wrapped also.

Aunt, good to hear from you. How fun to do so much with your nephew, that must make for a long day though.

Mema, Good job logging so many minutes and it's just the first week of Dec. Strength training is really my weakness. Good luck to you.

No exercise again, back still hurting.

Best thing that happened to me are how helpful my kids are being with my back.

CANDYM4 - My husband spends lots of hours playing video games. Yesterday, we went Christmas shopping and he put ANOTHER one in our cart and then spent all afternoon/evening playing!!

As for staying on track, I set a lofty 1,500 minute goal for exercise this month and I've logged 447 already. I need to lose at least 7 pounds to reach my New Year's goal. I signed up for 5 half-hour sessions with a personal trainer to get myself set for strength training on a regular basis. I've had 2 sessions already and will go again Monday, Wednesday and Friday next week.

The best thing that's happened to me with the personal trainer is that I've already surpassed her expectations! She's had to adjust her planned workouts for me.

Merry Christmas all. I am getting exercise in by helping my nephew do his pt exercises when he doesn;t have it that day. He is getting better daily, and they are starting to ween him off some of the medication. Sorry I haven't been keping up with everyone, but my sister has been sending him to my house every day from 4-11pm. I love it but it keeps me from doing a lot of things I want to. emoticon

I hope the kids learn as much from me as I learn from them,

Just got to this post today. I have been sick all week long. Gary did take care of me all week. He did not take care of the house, he did take care of the computer games, one he played for 25 hours this week while I was sick. Today we went shopping to do the monthly shopping. Tomorrow we will be cleaning house and doing some decorating for Christmas. MEN AND YES I AM SHOUTING. We had a nice day today shopping, and Gary helped put away everything in their right place.

I did go on a walk today, but with my back hurting I'm afraid anything more is out for now.

One good thing that happened to me today= My DH got off on time and we had a peaceful dinner.

This is a hard month to commit to much exercise and eating. So let's just try to stay on track as much as possible. I know there are Christmas parties, cookies exchanges etc.

This month let's plan on staying on our own exercise routine. So check in here daily to let us know how you are doing and what you did for that day.

Tell us any recipes you have for changing those high calorie foods we eat at Christmas. Any good cookie recipes that are more healthy etc.

Everyday check in here and tell one good thing that happened to you or that you did for someone else. Just by smiling at someone you can have an affect on their day.
