Yes, indeed, first of August ALREADY! So unbelievable how quickly 2018 is flying past. I'm in a July 1st through Jan 1st challenge in one of my other SP teams simply to try to keep the focus on the second half of 2018 being as awesomely spectacular, with regards to results, as the first 1/2 was--as so much with summer, vacations & back-to-school (for some folks), and those holidays tend to derail people until Jan 1st comes--don't want to let that happen!

In today's workout they include SIDE planks as an exercise. I recently saw a FLIPPING50 YouTube video on this topic and their advice about SIDE PLANKS specifically is to be careful for the 40-50 and older crowd. She has seen a lot of clients have shoulder injuries that really hurt the client LONG TERM from doing side planks. She still advises doing them, because they are so needed to prevent a lot of other injuries and hit a group of muscles we don't often exercise--however, she recommended placing your elbow or wrist uncomfortably close to the body to START with so that when you push your hips up into the Side Plank position it is just right (comfort level wise). As most people start with their elbow/forearm and/or wrist placement too "comfortable" at the beginning and over extend the joint, possibly causing damage, when they are fully into the plank position. Since hearing that wisdom, from someone with more experience, I've tried both until I sort of "taught" myself the difference. It makes a difference. Thought I would share that tip with others.

Hi everyone!
It's hard to believe that it's already August 1st! Time sure is flying by. isn't it? For today's challenge we're going to work on our tummies. I don't know about you, but I could use a little help in that area. I hope you enjoy this article. Remember to modify where needed, and have a great day!
