It was a bit awkward for me, too, but I got it done.

I did the workout portion of today's challenge. I thought it was pretty difficult -- I am apparently not coordinated enough to jump right into multi-muscle group exercises all at once. Going forward with this challenge, I'm going to have to modify/simplify a bit.

Otherwise, I thought the whole day was fun.

I have a number of foods I'm allergic too and fortunately (or unfortunately--however you want to look at it) for me those items tend to be in everything which is packaged, for sale in the supermarket, delis, or restaurants. So....I plan everything and do my level best to make everything from scratch using WHOLE food ingredients like "celery" or "banana" as the main ingredients. I also switch up my protein and foods so I don't eat the same foods two days in a row to prevent developing further allergies. At this point I'm allergic to soooooo many foods--it is super important to me NOT to develop any more food allergies.

Kathy: Like you, I usually have the same thing for breakfast every day.

Angie: I love them both(sushi and bento box)! Just haven't had them in a while.

I have my lunch and dinner already planned. I'll have fruit for one of my snacks and popcorn
for the other.

As for goals, getting to bed much earlier. My Sassy(dog) is back home and she gets me
up a bit too early anymore. Walking more is my other goal.

I always go for sushi at lunch and have a bento box - then a light meal for dinner. And if I need to plan it then I am going to have a nice bowl of chicken rice soup

My breakfasts and lunches are almost always the same. That way I can have a quick, nutritious meal without really thinking about it and doing so helps me stay on track. Dinners are a different matter and I definitely plan most of them. Without planning, it's way to easy for me to fall off track.

My small goal for this week is to limit my late night snacks to 1. Sometimes I have 2 or 3. All of them, alone, would be fine, but I have a hard time stopping at one at the end of the day when I'm tired. I've recently learned that I often confuse hunger with being exhausted. Oh well, I'm aiming to get to sleep before I get to the "i'll just have one more" part of my evening.

I plan to do the exercise portion of today's challenge later this afternoon. I'll pop back and let you know how it goes.

FOCUS ON THE BASICS FRIDAY

Plan your meals ahead today. Tonight, reflect on whether or not it helped you stay on
track.
Set 2-3 small goals to work toward over the next week. Small changes can create the
momentum for big results.
