I try to weigh in the same time each morning for consistency. Our weight does fluctuate during the day. Usually I gain a few pounds. Sleep is critical to weight loss. If I sleep well, then it is often a win at the scale the next day assuming I did my work during the day.

Like you I had one wild day where weight was really high and I dropped 1lbs an hour for much of the morning. I have no idea what did this....or why. My body held wateretc and then it didn’t. But this was far from a normal day for me. I’d youre really curious...log your food. You’ll see patterns. You might weigh in each morning and evening at the same time. If you have wild swings then you may have a food sensitivity. Normal for me is about a 3 lb gain between morning and evening. I typically just weigh in every morning, but like you, sometimes I’m curious,

I don't think any of us really knows why your weight goes up and down like that.

For myself, what I want to know about myself is not what I weigh but whether I'm eating a balanced diet and whether I am doing my daily exercises.

You must know which foods make you feel your best, and which exercises help you to feel better. Try to focus on those. They don't have to be difficult or take a lot of time to do.

Feel free to ask any questions even though we don't know the answer sometimes. We're always willing to try. emoticon

I recommend you stop weighing several times a day. Weight fluctuation up and down all day is normal. Just weigh at the same time, either daily or weekly, and use that as your reference. There's no reason (or any actual way) to keep your weight exactly the same all day. Your body is bringing in food, digesting food, eliminating food all day -- things change constantly.
