I agree, you should mention something. Definitely mention the food safety and allergy part of it!

I really think it would be a kindness, for yourself and others, to bring this to the managers attention.

I don't usually purchase items from the deli section but if I did, that would be a problem for me.

I don't think you would be labeled a trouble maker if you politely brought to to the store manager's attention, the issues you mentioned here. It could be a problem for people with allergies as well as an ethical or religious reason for others.

My grocery store just revamped its prepared "deli section". Where they used to have a separate bowl for each item, they now use trays that share a divider. I noticed that non vegetarian food was right next to food with meat, and that when scooped out and put into the containers, food fell into the adjacent tray. There was chicken salad in the kale crunch salad next to it. This not only raises veggie, non veggies issues, but what about religious and allergy issues? I took a picture of the trays. Now I'm thinking it might be a waste of my time to show it to the store manager. I'm in there a couple of times a week and don't want to be labeled as a trouble maker. Does this happen all over and should I just get used to it? Thanks!
