Quite right... in swedish it was 50 ml (we use volume for most things), so i translated that to ounces, but i guess tbsp would have made it clearer...

For the parsley, I think the 1 oz is based on volume rather than weight. So, you're looking at 2 Tbsp fresh parsley.

What you do every day matters more than what you do every once in a while.

Do you weigh your fresh parsley? Because 1 oz of fresh parsley is a lot. You It would probably almost be a cupful of fresh parsley.

So this is difficult because things do not always translate easily.

Hi,
Thanks so much for your help.
Yes, I guess I'll just remove the "1 can" since can sizes are so different everywhere... good point.

So, cups and ounces... should i do:
1 oz
1/4 cup (instead of 2 oz)
3 oz
1/2 cup (instead of 4 oz)
5 oz
3/4 cup (instead of 6 oz)
7 oz
1 cup (not 8 oz)
And what after this?

Do you get 1 cup cans of kidney beans where you live? In America our cans are 14 or 15 ounces or between 1 1/2 and 1 3/4 cups of drained beans. Then we are used to seeing cottage cheese and bread crumb measurements in 1/4 cup or part of cup measurements too... So your measurements would be 1/2 cup of cottage cheese and 1/4 cup of bread crumbs.

But since in America we get Kidney beans in 14 or 15 ounce cans we would have to change the amounts in the recipe or have a half can of beans left over...

Hi all,
Iím trying to convert my favourite recipes from Swedish (metric using deciliters) to cups and ounces. could I please ask you a favour and look at this recipe and tell me if it makes sense to you?

ge-cheese-burgers-with-kidneybeans-lR>eek-and-parsley/

In the ingredient list:
1 can / 230 g / 8 oz kidney beans
10 centimeters / 4 inches leek
125 g / 4 oz cottage cheese
50 ml / 1 oz chopped parsley
100 ml / 50 g / 2 oz bread crumbs

Is this a good way of writing it? Does it make sense? Do you measure cottage cheese and bread crumbs in ounces?
