Thanks for letting me know. My privacy settings were back to what they were... Maybe I didn't click 'Save changes' last time. Glad to be your Sparkfriend, but hopefully the link works for everyone now.

I am a Trekie fan too and what is more I play Runescape RPG every day and have done for 12 years !!!!!!!!!! I think I must be one of the oldest players in the game. My biggest interest is nutrition , particularly Vegan dietary needs.

DS9KIE, thank you! I used Photoshop to put my head on Captain Janeway's body. :). Yep, I am a big Trekkie. You too? DS9 fan, I assume? On my profile page, I have another picture of me (not photoshopped) on a set of the Enterprise bridge.

I can't figure out how to change my privacy settings for my blog. I will keep looking, but any tips are appreciated.

Thank you, and congratulations to you too, janket! I hadn't heard of the 5:2 diet, but I just googled it, and it sounds very intriguing. I am pretty sure I have been doing the 5:2 diet accidentally so far. There always seem to be a couple of days that I just don't eat much, and then the only things I eat are veggies, beans, and a bit of fruit... Making a couple of very low calorie days for me. So that has probably contributed to my success. I think I will start doing this more deliberately... Makes a lot of sense, and I think it will be easy to do consistently. Thanks for sharing your story!!

I just hit my first goal, which was a weight loss of 15 pounds! Thanks to my vegetarian, whole foods diet (and by diet, I mean permanent eating lifestyle).

Turning 40 last year was a bit depressing because I felt overweight and unhealthy... Like my prime time was over. Also, I had to choose between losing weight and buying a new "fat clothes" wardrobe. Fortunately, I recently chose the right path and am wholeheartedly sticking to it. I am feeling healthier and younger than ever, and I am well on my way to my next weight loss and health goals.

Here is my getting started story:
