Can I say how happy I am that Star Talk has a TV broadcast now? I don't get to watch it on its airdates (it comes on too late), but I love catching the back-episodes on-demand!

Just call me La. Most everyone else does.

I loooove Science Friday. My true public radio love is RadioLab, though. Fascinating, sciencey, and it has Jad Abumrad's dreamy voice. :P Definitely my favorite sciencey podcast.

I had never heard about Science Friday - did you know that they have a book club? I just found it.

I watch the whole gamut of Discovery group channels (History, H2, Discovery, Discovery Health, etc) pretty regularly, depending on what's on. Strangely, I like watching the medical shows even though I never wanted to be in that field.

Thanks for the links. If anyone is interested in history the H2 channel on Direct TV is pretty awesome too.

So, I know all of you in this group are nerds like me. Which means, y'all probably love to learn just as much as I do. I wanted to take a moment to make a shameless plug for one of my favorite learning opportunities: Science Friday.

Every Friday, this show is broadcast on public radio in the US. They discuss technology, science fiction, and nature among other subjects that are science-related. I think y'all should check it out.

The website is www.sciencefriday.com

All of the audio segments, videos, and written articles are posted there, along with information on the stations you can use to listen to the show.

Disclaimer: I don't work for Science Friday, I just really like to learn and find most of their segments quite interesting.

Star Talk Radio (Dr Neil DeGrasse Tyson's show) is very good as well, but I can't stream it at work. Audio for this show is at www.startalkradio.net

Science Friday and Star Talk both have smart phone apps, too.
