I am hoping that the second movie should be mirkwood, smaug, and the start of battles... I think the last movie is also focusing on all the stuff that happens from the end of the hobbit to the start of the lord of the rings in middle earth. Which would be really interesting to see! I love the extra storylines and filler.

My daughter predicts the second movie will consist almost entirely of the trek through Mirkwood. It sounds crazy, but how else will they manage to stretch this through two more movies?

When I heard they were going to make three movies, my initial thought was they're going to milk it for every penny they can and ruin it in the process.
IMHO I loved every minute of the first film and cant wait to see the next ones, of course once theyre out the LOTR marathon is going to be a serious entire weekend long event!

I saw it at midnight opening night and loved it. A few bilbos, gandalfs, and dwarfs were in the audience... loved that.

I saw it again a few weekends ago. I love how it can take my mind off of anything.

What did everyone think?? :)

My jaw hit the floor when I heard it would be *three* movies. I think they've made a big mistake.

This weekend I took my kids to a Lord of the Rings Trilogy marathon at our local movie theater. We were there for almost 13 hours! I didn't think I could sit for that long, but it wasn't bad. We had fun.

The Hobbit in IMAX!! I'd love to see it that way. Not very likely, however, so I will settle for what I can get, which will definitely be after Opening Day. Hopefully, though, before the end of the year.

The thing I don't understand is them making THREE movies out of it. Two seems plenty. I know, I know, they want the money, but seriously, how much stuff are they going to be Making UP??

Yep, there I am, swimming through the desert sands. Might just be a mirage, after all. But this is life, and we learn best about it if we explore it, and take our chances. A life unexplored, after all, is one of the saddest things out there.

Hope you enjoy it! Me, I'm more of a James Bond geek, so I'm psyched to see "Skyfall" tomorrow night with my movie group. :)

I can't wait to see the movie in December! I've be patiently waiting for a long time now. Last night my teen daughter mentions that her book club will be seeing it on opening night, in IMAX. IMAX! I soooo wish I could go with them.
