Hey there, peoples, especially the computer geek crowd. I'm going to be making short documentaries about my city soon (getting started by this weekend), and eventually when i have enough of them and they're edited (at least 3 to start), i want to put them on the web and create an educational website, the focal point largely being these videos, which at their max length would be 20 minutes (aiming for 15 tops each).

the main things would be my videos. unfortunately, nobody i know personally does any of this stuff or would know how to (for basic website creation i could probably go to my mom, but she's a workaholic and a half that barely has 5 minutes for a phone conversation, let alone days of tutoring me). for a complete beginner at making a website (using windows xp, by the way, not a mac), what would you recommend i start doing? i don't even know where to begin, what questions to ask, what i need, etc. i also have little to no budget, if you're wondering and if that's really important (I'm sure it is)

any help in this would be terrific! i really wanna alternative i'm posting in another thread, debating my options.
