This post does not reflect my personal political opinion and is not meant to be. I just saw this this morning and thought maybe someone was looking for a 5K fun/run to do on MONDAY....at William Land Park, with some live music and notables....

We had a GREAT, yet small meet up at our monthly meet up.. I AM EXCITED about the possisiblities that we discussed...

I rushed my evening to include my friends at SPARK PEOPLE. I was concerened that I didn't have anything to share. Mims (Sabrina) let me know that she had dip.. but NO chips and took the pressure off of me. I am so excited about the up coming meet ups. Maybe we can involve a few more people and let them know how much fun it can be. Meeting SPARKS PEOPLE face to face is valuable. I AM EXCITED.. To know whAt we are planning for the upcoming months. Share your execitement with others.. Maybe we can get a realLY BIG group togthr. We are talking walks/runs and visual collages.. we are talking really making a team out of those of who gather. WE ARE TALKING.. getting involved. and caring.... and doing something about it... ARE YOU WITH US??? JOIN THE THREADS OR SEND US AN EMAIL... WE are here for you...

A supurb opportunity for SOMEONE ON THIS TEAM to get their story told in a National publication. This was posted by Coach Nicole, and I am sharing it with you all. Hopefully there is someone on this team that would fit the bill.......Here ya go...

Did you lose weight with a SparkFriend or a SparkTeam?

Then we want your story! If you lost weight with the help and support of a close-knit SparkFriend or small group within a SparkTeam, your story could be featured in a national women's magazine—and help Spread the Spark!

We're looking for interesting stories of women who met online at SparkPeople, became good friends and support buddies, and reach their goal weights together. The ideal story will involve SparkFriends who met online but have ALSO met up offline at least once. Supportive friendships through SparkTeams that meet this criteria will also be considered.

We're on a tight deadline to pitch these stories to magazine editors, so if you think you qualify, please reply to this post with the following brief information:

How much weight you lost

Username(s) of your SparkFriend(s)

SparkTeam name if applicable

Did you both/all reach your goal weights? If not, how close are you?

Your age and location

How your SparkFriends helped you online

How you met your SparkFriends offline in real life

What's unique about your story (Did you run a race together? Travel across the country to meet? Contribute to a cause?)

Please share this post with anyone you think qualifies for the story and reply as soon as possible to be considered. We hope to pitch some amazing stories about our members to the press early next week.

Thanks!

Nicole

It isn't always easy. You have to work at it to be successful. Whether it is your weight, your strength or your attitude. Your career workload, your school work, housework or community involvement. It doesn't happen unless you commit to it. So make it happen, do your best and you will succeed. emoticon emoticon

carrot butter???

Personally, I like the different topics with shorter threads. Not fond of having to sort thru one long thread with multiple topics to find out who said what about whatever.
I have a couple friends on facebook that do that, on important discussions and it takes me forever to sort it out.

At least when there's a separate topic I can choose what I want to read.... ie. one post about ways to use walnuts... SKIP allergic to walnuts, another post about hiking, READ love hiking...

Ok so I am into hummus and persian cucumbers.
I wonder where I found out about that?

Wishing you good luck and from here on, no leaving the house without something in your tummy. Some good protein would help postpone the hungries. You know the old saying 'don't leave home without it'??
We mean protein. Have you tried making a smoothie to drink enroute to wherever you have to go? emoticon

Sounds good to me! You guys wish me luck. I ate and drunk all my calories before 4pm today lol. I consoled myself by telling myself as I was stuffing my face "Its ok since this is the only thing im going to eat today" lol
I need to stop leaving the house before I eat breakfast because if I dont by the time 2 or 3pm comes around anything near me is fair game,

I think for the rest of the summer, we will just have one continuous chat thread. It might make it easier for people who don't come in here often to keep up. It might even be easier for newbies to find, and less threads to go through. If it becomes too messy just let me know and we can modify it.
