She got both H1N1 and seasonal flu shots on Fri. 11/20, and was sick by Sun. 11/22. I asked the ped. if the H1N1 shot could have made her sick, but he said no, it's a dead virus - he said she must have been exposed to it and just didn't get the shot in time to counteract it. I didn't know she'd been exposed, but she's in kindergarten, everyone is sick all the time, LOL!

I am so sorry to hear that your daughter has been sick. No way to spend any holiday, much less be sick at all. Did you have ANY idea she had been exposed to H1n1 when you got the shots?? Did the pediatrician think any of her illness was caused by the shots? I don't know if that was a possibility or not.

I've been trapped in the house with a sick child for the past week - fever hit last Sunday (2 days after she got H1N1 and seasonal flu shots), and we didn't see the last of it till yesterday...knock on wood, but it's 4pm and she's still doing well so I think we're safe. Pediatrician this morning said it was probably H1N1...guess we didn't get the shots quite in time!

Anyhow, I have done well on the exercise front...not so great on the eating front, but we'll clear the last of the leftovers and pie tonight so I can get back on the wagon!

I was sick over the holiday so I didn't entertain at all. I cooked, we ate. Over. I didn't get to exercise as much but I still lost a pound. Must have been because I didn't feel like eating. Now if I can just plan that for Xmas and New Year's, I'll be good!

I ate and drank too much and didn't exercise as I would have liked, but didn't have any noticable weight gain. Time to get back on track.

I only weigh in once a week on Thursdays at the health clinic my wife and I visit each week. Obviously they were closed last Thursday and closed early Wednesday, so am taking a week off from "weigh in". But I feel good. This was the first thanksgiving in memory where I wasn't miserable for the hours after dinner from over indulging. Kept it moderate, enjoyed some pie, but kept it healthy for the most part. Spent the weekend putting up Christmas lights to the delight of my soon to be five year old daughter. So kept busy and ate mostbly healthy stuff throughout the weekend.

Watching that ticker just sitting there.. Lost 1 last week, and hope to do at least another this week. I am going to REALLY watch my portion control.
I have been over-fed and under-exercised. emoticon

I gained 2 pounds but honestly I think most of it is water weight. I ate so much chex mix it's not even funny and that stuff is loaded with salt. I'm hoping that that 2 pounds will drop off by next weeks weigh in.
