Got deployed and lost a little bit and then had that oh so talked about post deployment baby. So I am back where I started 2 years ago 193lbs. Looking forward to 155 and to all the post of inspiration. emoticon

Hi everyone!

I'm Sarah, I have a beautiful little girl who was born Oct. 3rd. I can't believe she's coming up on 5 months already! I was planning on having a totally natural birth, but after being in labor for over 48 hours, I had an epidural and then we needed a c-section because she didn't fit through my pelvis. It took a little while to recover, I had a few setbacks but my daughter has been happy and healthy from day 1! I'm on maternity leave but I"m also a nurse.
I still have most of the baby weight to lose and then some. I haven't been at a healthy weight in about 8 years...Now, I've been eating healthy and walking for an hour or more for the past 5 days. I just need some help to keep going with it and hopefully get down to my goal of 140 by the end of the year. I want to be healthy for my daughter!
Good luck to everyone and nice to "meet" you guys on here :)

Hello to all you other moms that are in the same boat! emoticon

I'm Rena! I have a 13month old. I have yet to lose the baby weight though. I was 170 when I first got pregnant and I was not happy... so sitting at 190, I'm really not happy with my weight. I have never been skinny. I am ready to make a life style change! I would love to be down to 135lbs by my Bday in September.

Hi I'm Sarah, I had a beautiful baby boy in Oct, via c-section. I'm finding it hard to get back to exercising after taking it easy for 6 weeks. I am excited to join the group and hear everyones journeys! I have a long way to go, but I'm staying postive :)

I'm 28 and just had our baby boy on November 6 and couldn't be happier :) I went from 210 to 140 between 2004 and 2008 but had a back injury and gradually gained 35 pounds by the time I got pregnant last February and then gained 64 pounds with the baby...eeek!! I've lost 32 pounds so far but am breastfeeding and even though I don't even eat 1800 calories a day like the doctor says my body's clinging to the weight and I'm having trouble taking any more off...I've been stuck at the same weight for a few weeks now. So now that he's almost 8 weeks old I've started working out again and am hoping that will jump start some more weight loss...I would like to lose two pounds a week to get down to 150 by my birthday on July 12 emoticon

HI!I am a 29 year old new mom to my beautiful 9 month old girl! I have been up and down in my weight my entire life...however, I managed to get down to a happy, healthy weight of 138 for my wedding 3 and a half years ago. However, immediately after my wedding we moved up North and I gradually packed on 70lbs total, 30 of that I put on during pregnancy but the other 40 was all me! I am motivated to get it back off and get healthy again! I would like to get to 170 as my first goal and go from there. Looking forward to getting to know you all!!! :)

My name is Stephanie, I am 21 and just had my baby boy Oct. 19th. Before I got pregnant I was at a healthy weight for my height 155 (I am 5'10) and unfortunately ate like crazy and gained 45 pounds! I am now at 177 and want to get down to 150. I am working out again and eating healthy meals. I want to prove that just because you are a mom doesn't mean you can't be fit and look good!

I went and liked your post! Hopefully that helps.

Kudos to you for being so awesome! Congratulations on losing the baby weight and then some! If you need some help or support, please let us know and we would be happy to get you going.

I love to run too! I am just starting back. I have an awesome jogging stroller but it isn't getting the workout that it should so I am excited to start using it again and working out hard with it.

Hello! I'm a first time mom to a lovely (nearly) 9 month old boy. I've been lucky enough to lose the baby weight, plus a little bit but I had some weight to lose pre-prenancy and, let's be serious, things don't look the same anymore :) I've just started running again and am super excited to keep that going because it's so nice to have that time to myself.

I've also decided I'm going to train up to run a long distance relay in April - the Palmetto 200. I'm trying to win 50% off my team's registration. Anyone want to help a fellow new mom out? All you have to do is like my post: http://tinyurl.com/bsyoof6. Saving money AND running! That would be pretty awesome :)

Good luck, all!

Help me win by liking my FB post. I can get 50% off my race registration for my team! https://www.facebook.com/permalink.p

I gave birth to my son six weeks ago. I have about 20lbs to lose to get back to my pre-pregnancy weight, and 45lbs to my goal weight.I'm about to go back to work part time. I always start off strong when I try to lose weight, but I could definitely use help staying focused and motivated as time goes on. I look forward to getting to know more mommies!

Hi new moms,

I am a first time mom, gave birth to a beautiful girl baby at my 33 years of age. I work full-time. My mom takes care of my baby while I am at work, without which I cannot think about working. She is 6.5 months now and I still have about 10 pounds to lose. Most of my weight is around my waist, tummy and thighs which are too stubborn to be released. I lost few pounds around 5-6 months while I was feeding her full-time, but now that she started slowly on solids, I am beginning to gain some every week, which I am really worried about. I need all the support in the world that I can get. Looking forward to be active and shed those 10 pounds in the next 3 months.

Good luck to everyone on your healthy lifestyle journey!

Hello! I gave birth to my delicious baby girl three weeks ago and am ready to get my body back! I am anxious to begin exercising and making healthier choices but I also want to set realistic goals for myself. Though I realize that it may take a full year to be back to where I was, I'd like to see significant progress by the new year. I gained 30ish pounds and amazingly half of it seems to have come off just with breast feeding but it is time to TONE UP!

My name is Kindrah. I have a 5 month old son, whom I'm hopelessly in love with. I'm happily married. I'm currently a stay-at-home mom/wife. I'm also a nurse. I was on bed rest the last 5 months of my pregnancy. I had to have cerclage at 20 weeks and I also had pre-eclampsia. I'm still having blood pressure problems. In October 2010 I went into pre-term labor with my first son at 25 weeks. He was born weighing only 1 pound 12 ounces and 14" long. He had severe congenital heart defects and lungs that were just too weak. He died after 10 precious hours. I turned to food for comfort and to manage my grief after the loss of my first sweet baby. My second pregnancy was very stressful and I actually lost too much weight so I was told to double my calories. When I delivered in February I was under my pre-pregnancy weight but still very much overweight. So now I am struggling to get back to a healthy weight so I don't stroke out or have a heart attack. This website is really helping me be accountable so far. My husband is very supportive as well. So....here's me!

My name is Chelsea and I'm 21. My little girl, Sophie, will be 5 weeks on friday. I know I'm not suppose to, but i've been workin out everyday since she was two days old and unfortunately I have only lost 6 pounds. I'll have to lose another 45 just to get back to pre-pregnancy weight but I'm gonna work to lose another 55 pounds instead if I possibly can. I was on bedrest for 4 months though so my body is still getting used to physical activity again.

Every little step adds up to what your working for

My name is Lesley and I am a 30 year old new mom to a 3 1/5 mo baby boy. So far I have lost 25 lbs which came off very easy however I have another 20lbs and then some to lose (which is turning out to be harder to lose! ). I have a hard time working up the energy to exercise and during the day I don't have time to cook good meals. I am joining this group for support and good ideas on how to manage my day and improve my health. Now that I have a baby I want to be healthy and active, I want to set a good example for my son.

Hi, I'm Jennifer and am 36 years old and just had a baby boy seven weeks ago. I'm ready to get back into exercising and being healthy. I want to be able to play and run with my little boy. I gained 50 pounds due to a surgery before I became pregnant and was just getting mobile again when I got pregnant then I gained 60 pounds during pregnancy. So far I have lost 36 pounds. I feel better about getting up and exercising again. I just don't know how to fit it in with the baby, household chores and I start back to work in about two months. I also have a battle with my husband who loves to eat and doesn't watch portions and is always buying or baking sweets etc.that are hard to resist. He needs to lose weight but just isn't ready yet.

Hi!! My name is Sarah, I am 28 and first time mom to a beautiful 5 week old baby girl!! I was in decent shape before I got pregnant, but once I found out I was pregnant I threw all my healthy habits out the window and gained a whopping 60 lbs!! I have already lost 30 of that, hoping I can stay on track and lose the other 30 and plus some :)

My name is Chelsea. I have a four year old girl, Reilly Olivia. I just gave her a baby brother, Rohm (pronounce Rome) Fredrich, one month ago via c-section. Thanks to the c-section I'm just now getting back into exercise, although a bit modified to prevent hernia. In the last four weeks, I've dropped 20 pounds, putting me back at my pre pregnancy weight. Now I want to lost forty more.

Hi! I'm Bayli and I had my first baby, a little girl named Josie, Dec. 23rd, 2011. She was exactly 3 weeks early and was a very healthy, full-term baby at 7lbs. 6 oz.! She was the best Christmas present I could have ever hoped for! She's now 12 weeks old (where has the time gone?!?!?!) and I went back to work at 10 weeks. I gained about 40 pounds during my pregnancy, 25 of which melted away between having her and breastfeeding, but after some very difficult and challenging weeks breastfeeding, I decided spending time with my little girl was more important that giving her breast milk so we went to formula. It was the best decision I could have ever made, but needless to say, the pregnancy pounds stopped melting away then! So here I am, wanting to lose the last ~12-15 pounds of baby weight, plus the extra 20 pounds I put on before I got pregnant. To make things more complicated I have a bad knee that limits a lot of what I can do and I have to wear a pretty sturdy knee brace if I'm doing anything that requires twisting at the knees. I have an elliptical and Zumba. My hardest problem to overcome is just finding the time to workout, between working full time again, and spending every moment I can with my baby and get enough rest to function the next day. I'm hoping getting back on Spark and joining this group will help me to get and stay motivated!

Hi! I'm Leslie.
I'm not trying lose the baby weight yet - because I'm still pregnant! I'm currently 28 weeks pregnant with twin boys {how did THAT happen?!}.
I had lost 20 pounds on SP last year and then got pregnant. I QUICKLY dropped all the great things I was doing and eating and have gained 40 pounds {which is good for twins...}.

The hardest part of starting again after babies is that I will be starting over with my habits. I must admit I have enjoyed eating {whatever I want!} but I can't keep doing that.

My first step is that I'm tracking my calories simply so I can get back into the habit of doing it. I'm NOT decreasing calories at this point.

I'm looking forward to reading through al of your thoughts, suggestions and struggles.

Hi, I'm Shannah. I had my beautiful baby girl on December 1, 2011. The first 20 lbs of baby weight seemed to melt right off, but this last 11 lbs is stuck on like crazy glue! My short-term goal is to lose those 11 lbs, and by the end of the year I'd like to lose another 20 lbs to get back to my wedding weight. I've been doing "dance off the inches" DVDs 4 times per week, and now I'm adding a couple Jillian Michaels videos to the rotation. Also, my maternity leave is ending and I'll be returning to work next week. At that point i'll be able to to go to the gym on my lunch break and/or do group classes after work a couple times a week. I am hopeful that with the support of this group I'll be able to lose the rest of my baby weight and get back to healthy habits to model for my daughter.

Hello Everyone! I just had a baby girl via csection in Dec and I also have a 3 year old son. I hope to find a balance so that I can lose all this weight I gained while pregnant. I have roughly a little over 50 lbs to lose and I workout 5 days a week for an hour but really need to clean up my eating. The problem is finding quick, healthy and tasty recipes to prepare I don't have much time and once I get back into routine I know the weight will melt off hopefully in time for our cruise this summer! I wish everyone well with their own goals.

Hi everyone! I'm a new mom of a beautiful little boy named Liam! He was born Dec 1, 2011...he's just over 11 weeks now. Right now I'm 12 lbs heavier than I was when I got pregnant. I have a goal of losing 50 lbs. My husband and I are planning a trip this summer and I'd like to feel lighter and healthier by then. I really want to be under 200 lbs more than anything and right now I'm 246. I hate being this big. I want to be able to chase my lil guy around once he starts walking. I don't want to be an overweight mom who just can't keep up. Although a big part of wanting to lose weight is so I myself feel better, another big part is for him. I want to be the best mom I can be and I want to be a good example for him. So here goes...I look forward to getting to know the team =)

Hey Everyone,
I just had a baby girl (Shelby) 7 weeks ago (born on Christmas day at that). She is my third (and last) child. I'm also a mother to identical twin boys who will be 2 in May. No it was not planned. My boys were born 3 months premature. Xander faired very well but Jacob has been plagued with some issue. We have had a very crazy couple of years and I never lost the baby weight from my first pregnancy. I was fortunate enough to only gain 15 lbs when pregnant with Shelby. I've already lost that and some with the great metabolism booster of breast feeding. Unfortunately I've had a low milk supply and have since stopped. So now I really need to get my butt in gear to lose this weight. My current challenge is finding time between taking care of Shelby and running after the boys to do it.

Never frown, cause you never know who could be falling in love with your smile:)

Hello Mommies!

I'm Barbara, I have weighed 145 lbs since my son was 6 weeks old. He's 16 months now. Ouch.
Here to lose it and keep it off (until baby #3 comes along!)

My name is Christina, and I'm turning 27 today.... and celebrating my first daughter's 4 week birthday. Gained a ton of weight during this pregnancy, and still have 50lbs to loose. Yikes!

Ready to loose the baby weight!

Hi,my name is Miranda and I have 2 daughters, a 3 1/2 yr old and 12 mo. I love being a mommy but I do not love the way I look. I never lost the last 15 pounds from my first pregnancy and have another15 left from the 2nd pregnancy. I am trying to get motivated to make healthier choices and become more active to be a good example for my daughters.

Hello - My name is Christina, 31, and I live in Santa Fe, NM. I had previously had some "luck" losing weight with Spark (lost about 30 lbs) but took sometime off when I was pregnant and after my baby was born. He is now almost 16 months and I have finally motivated myself enough to log back in and start the journey again. I work full time and go to school part time. I eventually want to lose about 150 lbs but plan to have small goals to get there

At 42, I'm hardly a "young", new mommy. I have three kids now, 15, 12, and *surprise!* 2 months! So, I'm starting this roller coaster ride all over again. Surprisingly, most of my baby weight fell off within three weeks of delivery this time around, but I have that blubbery tummy thing going on and generally lost all of my pre-baby muscle mass. I'm eager to get back on the exercise wagon, but my baby isn't on a dependable schedule yet. We take walks and I practice yoga at home. Now, I just need to get to the gym. All in due time. I've learned that exercise is a life long endeavor and just because I fell off the wagon, doesn't mean it's the end of the world. With a food and exercise journal, I know that by the summer, I won't be so self-conscience about wearing shorts and taking the kids to the pool. I'll keep telling myself to eat right, do a little something active everyday, and not stress out when I make a poor food choice or don't get off the couch. I aim to be the fit mom I was at 30! Here we go!

Hi my name is Krista. I have yo-yoed with my weight growing up. I'm 25 years old and now a mommy to a beautiful 5 month old daughter. I grew up in Minnesota until i was 18 I moved to Florida (2004). I was 294 when stepped on a scale shortly after i moved here. I started dieting with slim fast and swimming 30 laps in my pool everyday feb. 2005. Then i met my first boyfriend and father of my baby july of 2005 and i was 240 lbs. shortly later i became anorexic and stopped eating completely and dropped to 225 by nov of 2005 when i started dating him. he got me to eat again and sadly i went to 235 when we broke up dec of 2007. I stopped eating again from depression and went down to 205 by april 2008 when we got back together. which i gained yet again to 225 by feb of 09. We split yet again and guess what I stopped eating again and i dropped to 155 by august 09. We got back together march of 10 and when i found out i was pregnant i was 186 dec 10. I left him in march but this time i kept eating. i ended up on somewhat of a bed rest in june due to contractions. I wasn't due til august 10th. I weighed 229 when i had my daughter. I breastfed her for a month and dropped to 209. I got used to eating more calories and then the holidays came and I ended up weighing 236 by christmas. I really want to be back down to 155 again then next summer have surgery on my legs to removed the extra skin that i have. when I was that skinny before it hurt to walk because the skin would toss as i took a step. I want to lose 10 lbs a month. everyone says its not safe but I've done it before just this time i want to do it the healthy way.

wow are we twins I also have a 3 1/2 month old baby girl, and had lost some weight before getting pregnant with her but have always struggled with my weight. I'm breastfeeding and I am so hungry all the time and I am stuck at 194 pounds. Lost about 15 right when she was born and since then the scale hasn't budged at all!!

Hello Everyone,
I am a mother of three, recently gave birth to my 6 week old daughter on 11/17/11!! I love being a mommy but do NOT LOVE the way I look. Pre-pregnancy i was 145, got up to 195 while pregnant and am down to 165. I am hoping to be able to get back down to 145 and am having a difficult time motivating myself to eat right and exercise.

Hi, I am a new mom to a 3.5 month old baby girl. I was about 10 lbs away from my goal weight before I got pregnant and an avid runner. Since she was born I have been eating everything in sight and have not found the time to run much. I am hoping recommitting to Sparkpeople will help get me motivated. It has worked great for me before!

I have been a member since 2009 - I lost about 20 lbs but then I got pregnant, my daughter is 18 months and I'm at the weight I was before I lost the weight :( I'm trying to get back into exercising and eating healthier, however it seems like it's a bit harder this time around since I don't have much time. However what I have decided to do, is to take two 10 minute breaks during work, and climb the stairs in my building. I hope I can keep motivated and lose the weight before planning on with my 2nd pregnancy.

Joey :)

Hello fellow mommies!

I am a mother to a handsome 19 month old boy and a 5 month old baby girl(yea I know they are really close!) lol so of course I didn't have much time to get back to my original weight before becoming prego. Once again! I was 130 before my first 172 when I had him and got down to 160 then back up to 168. With my daughter I got up to 195 and now am back to 168! My ideal weight is 140 so just 28 more to go! Come on mommies we can all reach our goal! :)

Hi Everyone, I am a proud first time mom to a nearly 17 month old son. I am having a hard time finding a way of squeezing in exercise while working full time and need all the motivation I can get, as I am quickly gaining back all the pounds lost while breastfeeding, now that my son is weaned.

Hello Everyone...
My name is Kalee, im 30 years old and i have a wonderful little boy who is 7 weeks old! I clocked in at 149 when I found out I was pregnant. I gained 34 pounds throught pregnancy. 7 weeks later, I have lost about 28 pounds. I have 6 pounds to go to get down to pre-prego weight. My ultimate goal is to get down to the weight I was when i was married - 125lbs.

I am back to work now, and having trouble every morning finding an outfit that fits. I think my hips must have gotten wider b/c pants are a struggle. I had to break down and buy 2 new pairs of jeans (but that only covers 2 out of 5 days) so the other 3 days I try to squeeze into my old jeans but they are tight, and sitting a desk all day gets quite uncomfortable, not to mention the roll that pops over the top.

If you have any words of motivation to keep me going, please feel free to stop by my page to keep me going!!! emoticon

Hello Everyone!!! I am a first time mommy here! I have a beautiful 3 month old son! I was 10 pounds away from my goal weight before i became pregnant. i gained exactly 30 pounds with him and left the hospital down 25! but being home and out of work for the past three months i have managed to gain most of it back!! i am currently 160 and would like to be at my goal of 140 by his first birthday!!!! I have PCOS which made it very difficult in the first place to concieve him so i am truly blessed for that. And as some of you may or may not know it is very hard to loose weight with this. I am currently taking medication to manage it and that is what helped me loose 30 pounds before him. I don't want to rely solely on the medication, i want to change my whole health lifestyle!
