Hey Everyone! I am a new mommy of an amazing 7 week old little boy but gained about 46 lbs during pregnancy due to thyroid issues and quitting smoking and now am going to need a little support to get rid of this weight so I am super glad I found this group! Can't wait to get to know everyone!

Hi Mommies!

I am a first time mom to a wonderful and beautiful 8 month old boy! I also am the not so proud owner of way too much post pregnancy weight (half of wich is made up of this gosh awful c-section pouch)! Anyhoo, after 8 months I felt a little rediculous blaming my weight on the baby! It's time to do something... so here I am. I'm really excited to get back to my old self, and am glad to be a part of this team!

Hello! I am a new mother of a 2.5 month old son. I have been enjoying becoming a mom and I am lucky to be a stay at home mom as well. I luckily didn't gain a lot when I was pregnant because it was pounded into my head not to because of my high blood pressure and high weight anyways. Now that the little one is getting more sleep at night so it makes for me having more energy during the day so I am ready to start losing some weight so when we fly back to the US to visit (we are living abroad in the middle east) I want to fit in the seat more comfortably. Plus I want to get my blood pressure under control and I know that will come with some weight loss.

If I accept you as you are, I will make you worse; however, if I treat you as though you are what you are capable of becoming, I help you become that.

Hi I am the mother of an 11 month old son and work full time as well! I used sparkpeople a few years ago when I wanted to lose about 5-10 lbs but have not used it in years. I was the heaviest I had ever been when I got pregnant and then I gained 56 lbs. I lost 40 after birth but have at least 15 - 20 to go. I am having a lot of trouble motivating myself and staying on track as I recently have been having a lot of anxiety and turning to food/ junk to make myself feel better. Which in turn is causing a circle of depression, eating, gaining more weight, depression. I love my son to death and I just got married to his father in August who I love dearly but life seems to very overwhelming right now and I can't figure out how to put a plan in place that I have time for and will stick too. I am hoping by rejoining my spark people I will find this balance!

Hi everyone! I'm excited to join this group as a new mommy! I have a beautiful daughter who is almost 12 weeks old, and I just went back to work full time. Before going back to work I had been walking with her almost every day, as well as having our mommy-daughter dance party where I danced to music while holding her in my arms or holding her up so she could stand and dance too!

Now that I'm back at work there is a LOT less time to do these things since its almost bedtime when I'm done! I'm not a morning person yet, but I'm hoping to become one to use the wee hours (when she wakes up!) for more exercise.

I do have a weight machine, elliptical and treadmill in the basement, but I'd rather come up with more things I can do where it entertains her at the same time!

HI. Im Charity. I'm 20 and a mother to 1 little 2 year old boy named Damian. I still have my baby weight plus more(from the bc I was on). Im trying my best to walk atleast 3 times a week but Its very difficult for me. Im also trying to watch my calories. So far I've been doing good.

Hi, I'm Jill! I'm a wife and mother of two girls 2 1/2 and 6 months. I finally kissed nursing goodbye. (Sad) Now I'm ready to lose some weight. I started with a different program and have already lost five pounds but spark being free is hard to resist. I'm a great calorie counter, but I'm horrible at finding time and motivation to exercise. Usually, I find the motivation when I don't have time and when I see an opportunity to have the time I lose the motivation not the pounds...

Hi ladies---My name is Keisha (29). Recently, I gave birth to my first child, a daughter this past April. Much to my dismay, I gained 86 pounds!!!!!!! I've never weighed so much in my life. I know that it took nine months to build my baby-growing body & I'm going to give myself that same amount of time to get back into my pre-prego shape. My goals are to find my way back into (most) of my fave pre-baby clothes & to feel good in my skin again. I decided to join this team for some extra motivation, support & to meet new mommies.

Hi Im Jessica. Mom to a hyperactive 3yo girl and a gorgeous 7 week old "surprise" son. My OB said that I wouldnt be able to have anymore due to a surgery done last August, guess what 10/07/10 I had 3 positive preg tests. It was a very rough preg. I lost weight continuously. I started at 293 and delivered at 267 at my 6week checkup I was 248. But I still have a long way to go. I want myself under 200 by my wedding which will be 04/13/12. 48 more to go.

Hi , I am a mum to 5 kids ( 16 1/2, 14, 10, 8 3/4, 7 months) 4 girls and 1 boy(14). Our newest addition was our surprise baby, and though I was really sick in the begining the rest went well. I only gained about 15 lbs during the pregnancy I seem to have put on more since giving birth. So my friend told me about sparkpeople and here I am.

Hi there! I'm the mommy of a teenager and a newborn! I didn't gain a ton of weight (15 lbs.) with pregnancy, but I was overweight prior to pregnancy and delivered a little early. I was on bedrest most of the pregnancy, so I look like a tub of goo. So depressing! Hoping I can find some motivation and weight loss buddies with SP. Good luck, everyone! emoticon

Good morning everyone! My name is Theresa. I'm a first time mom. My daughter is a little over 5 months old. I'm trying to lose the last of the baby weight plus some because I was overweight to begin with. I gained 50-60 lbs while pregnant and topped the scales at 220. I was 163 before getting that BFP. I'm now down to 174, so I am almost at my pre-pregnancy weight, which I'm very excited about. I'm still wearing some maternity clothes, mainly pants, and my SO hates it very much!! I could go purchase some regular clothes in bigger sizes but I'm hesitant to do that. I may do a little shopping and have them all altered later on. Gotta be cheaper than buying new clothes. I started on SparkPeople in 2008! So I've been here a long time. It's definitely helped me lose lots of weight. I'm interested in having another child but not for several years and I want to be in good shape by then. I want to also learn from this experience and pay attention to what I'm eating and eat better to control that weight gain. My doctor didn't have a problem with it but I know I can do better. I'm hoping to be at my goal weight by my LO's first birthday which is January 4th. I work full time and I am nursing my daughter so exercise is a bit difficult for me because I am feeding her every 3 hours and when I'm away I'm pumping for her. I'm always connected somehow. I know nursing burns approximately 500 calories a day but I know that's not enough to maintain a healthy weight loss, so I need to get in more physical activity and I'm pretty sure Sparkpeople and teams like this can help me do that.

Hello, I'm Dawn and have two little boys. Derrick is 2.5 and his little brother Dillon is almost 10 months old. I have been on sparkpeople off and on for a while. First before my wedding in 2007 when I got down to my lowest adult weight of 190, but never got my body steady there before getting pregnant with our first, I then came back with a new account trying to motivate my students in between my pregnancies, and then I was pregnant again. Now that I have my boys its time to have myself, and get stable at a better weight. I am super excited that I am .5 pound away from my first goal of being to 195 by graduation on the 23rd! So gonna make that one.
During the day I am at home with my boys and love it. I also teach massage therapy at a career college a couple nights a week, which can be challenging, but it is something I am passionate about and love doing. I am also in my final quarter of my MBA, which I started when I was pregnant with my second, it has had its challenges, but I am really glad I stuck it out and kept moving forward, even with a toddler and newborn.
I guess thats me in a nutshell. I have a wonderful husband of almost 4 years now, two amazing boys, and soon to be a healthier active momma and wife to have fun with.

Hi All!

I just had my 1st baby about 9 months ago and I'm ashamed to say I lost 15 lbs (only gained 22 during pregnancy) post delivery but then gained most of it back since then. I've been breastfeeding which has done nothing to shrink my waistline, but in all fairness, I'm sure the insane chocolate addiction I have didn't help much either. I can admit, I've been battling a mild case of depression (non baby related stuff) which has in turn led to a bit of emotional eating. But I'm tired of not having any energy and I want to be able to keep up with my little girl and enjoy her! I've always had problems with my weight and prior to getting pregnant, I was the smallest I'd ever been. I know what I'm supposed to do, but the combination of being at home all day, completely exhausted and bored and not having the financial resources I'm used to have led me to throw up my hands and give up! But NO MORE!!! I want my body back and I want to set a healthy example for my baby! I just went back to work full time and my bosses ordered PIZZA, BURGERS, and HOT DOGS for everyone as a thank you for coming in on the holiday!! It's taking everything in me to stop at the one slice of cheese pizza I had!!! I could use a little support here!!

Hi everyone,

I just had my second baby, a little boy, two weeks ago. I was doing well on SP before I got pregnant and am looking forward to getting fit again as soon as I can start a fitness program. I gained about 25 pounds during this pregnancy and have lost about 20 pounds since the delivery; however, my goal weight is another seven pounds down from my pre-pregnancy weight. I hope to stay focused and work our regularly, even if it means snatching 20 minutes to do a workout video during the day while my son naps. Here's looking forward to healthy weight loss, increased fitness and making new friends to share the journey.

Hi! I just joined the team. I am a 29 year old mother of two girls, ages 1 and 3. I am also married and I work full time. Busy busy. Unfortunately, I have cared for everyone else but myself, allowing myself to gain too much weight. I gained some weight before I got pregnant and I am trying to lose the baby weight plus that pre baby weight. I would love to fit into those jeans I have been saving in the closet for all of the time!! :-) My 30th birthday is in December, and my goal is to be fit by then!

I am not only doing this for me, but for my family. I want to raise my girls to eat natural, healthy, wholesome foods. I want to have energy to run and play with them!!!

Hi everyone! My name is Lisa and I just had my baby boy (William) 6.5 weeks ago. I gained about 45 pounds and have lost 31.5 of those. I am so ready to lose the last bit of baby weight plus a few more. I have been working towards a goal weight since my daughter was born 7 years ago. My main goal right now is to fit into my pre-pregnancy jeans -- cant wait!! I have started the P90X program and I also go run during my lunch break at work. Hi everyone! My name is Christina, and I am 31 years old. I had a son, Gavin, 2/11/11. I only gained 30 lbs during pregnancy and I have lost 20 lbs of that. I currently have a hate relationship with my body. I feel that I need help and support to get down to the weight I would like to be. I am a very busy person, I work 20-30 hrs a week in a job, own 3 businesses, and am always looking for new opportunities. My son has added such a wonderful aspect to our life and I want to be healthy for him. I breastfeed and sometimes supplement with formula.

My son is 6 months old today and I still need to lose about 15 pounds to get back to my pre-prenancy weight (although I would like to lose 25 more). I really thought it would be easier to get the weight off- I was very active before I got pregnant and I am breastfeeding, however it has been a struggle to find the energy to work out, clean, work.....
I am hoping that this will help me stick to my plan!

Hi all! I had my first little boy 8 weeks ago! I gained 40 pounds in the process and have lost 32 of those pounds but had about 35 pounds I wanted to lose before getting pregnant. I have about 43 pounds to get to the weight I want to be at. I need the motivation and support to stick with dieting/exercising. I tend to fall off for a day and then everything goes downhill after that.

Hi! My name is Kayla, I'm a mommy to two beautiful boys, 15 months and 6 months old! Pre-prego with the first baby I was 130-135 ish, and I gained 40 POUNDS. With the second baby I actually lost 10 pounds right after he was born, but I pretty much gained it back the first couple weeks. My goal is to get around 120-125 now! I'd aim for smaller, but my husband isn't a big fan of "stick figures", as he says. Haha.

Pre-pregnancy weight:: 135 lbs.
Goal weight:: 120-125 lbs.

Hi my name is Ann and I'm a SAHM with four children. I just had my son Oct. 2010 and started my weight loss journey on Dec. 27. I have lost 17 pounds so far and excited to reach my goal of 125-130 by the end of June.

Hello my name is Jade and I'm 26. I have been married for almost 4 years to my best friend and we have two beautiful children that have done a number on my body! Ryleigh is my nut case 16 month old daughter. I was 175 and a size 12 when I got pregnant with her and was 226 when I deliver and quickly dropped to 193. Not 3 months later we found out we were expecting again. This time a little boy!! By the time I had Eirnan I was 248. Both of my babies were born by c-section. I am having such a tough time trying to take off all this extra baby weight and I am starting to get really down on myself. I am wearing a size 20 jeans and hate the way I look! I am sitting at 230lbs right now my goal is to be down that weight by Eirnans first birthday! Not 3 months later we found out we were expecting again. This time a little boy!! By the time I had Eirnan I was 248. Both of my babies were born by c-section. I am having such a tough time trying to take off all this extra baby weight and I am starting to get really down on myself. I am wearing a size 20 jeans and hate the way I look! I am sitting at 230lbs right now my goal is to be down that weight by Eirnans first birthday! I am excited to begin my journey with spark people and hope to meet amazing people to help keep me motivated!!

Hello my name is Jade and I'm 26. I have been married for almost 4 years to my best friend and we have two beautiful children that have done a number on my body! Ryleigh is my nut case 16 month old daughter. I was 175 and a size 12 when I got pregnant with her and was 226 when I deliver and quickly dropped to 193. Hey,
Im Anna, Married two years in the spring, and experiencing a four month old- and loving it!
I am the opposite of where I thought I would be at this stage of my post- partum. Actually, having a baby did wonders to my body. I lost weight at the begining of my pregnancy due to morning sickness and I guess eating better for myself was not motivation enough, but for a little one, I ate WAY different throughout pregnancy. When I had him, and couting breastfeeding, I weighed less a month post-partum than I had before conception. Wow! So that has given me motivation and a boost to keep going. Breastfeeding does help in the calorie buring.. I heard on the radio that it burns 600 calories a day.
What I would REALLY want now is the flabby tummy to go away.. I dont own any equipment, so Im wondering what would work my abs the best.. a lot of sit ups

Hi everyone! My name is Faith and I'm 28 yrs old. I have an almost 4 month old daughter named Lilianna. I was overweight before I had my baby (186 lbs), gained only 30 lbs during pregnancy, and lost 25 lbs by breastfeeding alone so far. Most of my life I was a size 0 and 112 lbs but I blew up around the time I was 22. I don't ever want to be that tiny again but I'd really love to be around a size 8 or so. Its just so hard to find time or energy to do any kind of fitness routine right now with working full time and breastfeeding! Help!

Hi Everybody! I am Molly. I am 36, married and have two wonderful little girls, Meaghan, 3 1/2 years old, and Morgen, 11 months old. Between work and the girls, I find it hard making time to exercise.

I am new to Spark and so far it seems to be working. (It helps having to keep track of the food I eat each day!) Good Luck to Everyone!!!

I have a 9 year old Daughter a 4 year old son and my youngest daughter is 4 months :-) I had lost quite a bit of weight right before I got pregnant and then gained it all and then some! I have about 50 lbs to loose, and am in love with this site!! emoticon

I have an 8 month old happy, healthy baby girl and have had a really hard time with the weight. My pregnancy was really hard with being hospitalized many times the first 24 weeks due to extreme morning sickness and then pelvic separation later in the pregnancy. I gained 50 pounds during pregnancy and then ended up with under active thyroid after delivery. My hormones have finally regulated again and now I am able to start losing the weight but I have to work even harder. It is great to have a group like this that can understand the turmoil we put ourselves through to look like we did before pregnancy. any words of encouragment are greatly appreciated.

I am 28 and had my first baby 9 months ago. I was already overweight before I had him and now I need to lose the last of the baby weight on top of what I should have lost before. Between working full time and spending my evenings playing with my son, I am having a hard time getting in to a healthy routine. I am hoping this will give me some basic guidelines to follow in an accessible way.

Hi, I'm Kate, I'm 36 and have a 5 1/2 mo. old baby boy. I work full time and have had a really hard time figuring out how to get back into the groove when all I want to do is spend my home time with my son, and after he goes to bed I am usually too tired to do much beyond getting ready for the next day and giving myself 30 minutes before going to bed. I lost nearly 30 pounds with Spark 3 years ago, and I know it works for me if I use it so I'm looking forward to making it happen again.

Hi everyone!! My name is Gina and I am a new mom. My son is 1 month old and ADORABLE :) I have to say, this whole mom thing is tough, but worth every second. I Had a c-section Dec. 2nd and am going back for my 6 week checkup soon, so I won't be exercising until I get the go ahead from my doctor. But, I figured I could start everything else now, with the new year :) I actually returned to my pre-pregnancy weight within a week b/c I had Gestational Diabetes that had to be controlled by diet, so I HAD to eat super healthy to keep my baby healthy. I am now looking to lose more weight and get healthy for my son. I am excited to be part of this team!! emoticon
