Hi I'm Kristy and a new mom to now 6 month old baby boy. I am 36 and this is my first (maybe only) baby so I wasn't sure how the weight gain/loss would go. I gained 55 pounds and lost 25 in the first 2 months. The rest doesn't want to leave but I also have a very harsh sweet tooth and with holidays it hasn't' been easy. I try to fit a work out in during the day but he just won't let me most days.

I'm Lindsay and I am a new mom. He is 5 months old. I'm still trying to get used to this "new" body I picked up somewhere in the 9 months of my pregnancy. I need help with motivation and will power. Those are definitely my downfalls in losing weight.

Hi I am not sure if I am a little old for this team. Let me know. I am 24 and a single mom. My daughter is 4 and yes I am still holding on to the baby weight and more. The last wedding I was in I was pregnant with my daughter. I just went dress shopping for my brothers wedding and my bridesmaid dress is 1 size higher than the pregnancy one. YEAH... That's not going to happen. I bought the dress, it fit like a glove. I refused to get the next size higher because I am determined.
The wedding is just a minor problem in my life. The other is my little girl. She doesn't understand about healthy eating. She is built like her dad (tall & skinny). I introduced the food pyramid to her last week, because like any preschooler she loves her sweets. She said she would rather eat the junk food so she could have a big belly like me. OUCH!!! Now I am not an unhealthy eater. I eat my 3 meals a day with 2-3 reasonable snacks. I always stay within my nutrition goals, but my little smart cookie (no pun intended) knows that if you eat junk food you get fat. That is not the mother I want to be. So I wanted to join this team (recommended from a member) to Lose the baby weight and more. I am looking forward to start.

Hi,
I'm on my 2nd time around to lose the baby weight. I used sparks people to lose the baby weight I gain with my 1st daughter and I WAS SUCCESSFUL! Now after my 2nd daughter I'm starting all over again. I know it can be done; it just takes, exercise, healthy eating, sleep and time.

Im 24, norwegian and a SAHM of two perfect boys under 3. After a whole life of obsessing over weight ive steadily gained and am now dangerously close to obese.I've clearly mised the point and i really need to learn to love myself, and then, when I love my body I wont treat it like crap, right??

Hi, I have been with SP for about three weeks now. I am finding it very hard to find time to exercise with a six month old and living in WA where it rains all the time so it's hard to go outside and exercise. I am a single mom and I am active duty military. Does anyone use any DVD's at home with there LO's? Does anyone use Biggest Loser DVD's at all? I need some ideas please. emoticon

I lost all my baby weight with DJ within 6 months, and even lost a few pounds more...but with Aiden, it's just been such a struggle! Hi! I am Felicity,25 years old, I had a gorgeous little girl, Lottie, in July 2010. I had actually been getting in the best shape of my life, (almost back to high school weight), when I got pregnant. We were NOT trying by any means, but I guess that weight loss triggered something in my hormones and we were expecting a baby. So I became victim of cravings to all the things that were bad! haha. I gained 30 pounds, all in the last trimester! and since having her I was breastfeeding and been so lazy at home with her....I gained more weight! So I am looking to lose about 45-50 pounds! Hi, I'm Naomi. I just had a baby. She's now 8 months old and boy does time fly.
Her name is Diedra, and she is the best thing that could have happened to me. I live with my BF of 4 years in Connecticut. We just recently rescued a feral cat.. although he's too friendly to be feral. I am trying to lose weight that I gained after I lost all my baby weight. A vicious cycle I've been through too many times to count.

I've been working really hard, and so far have seen A LOT of results! I'm so proud of myself and happy I'm achieving my goals.

Hello, I'm Tyisha, I'm 28 and just had my first and last child on March 10, 2010--V. He's amazing and I'm SO in love with him! I'm back using Spark People bc I could use the social support. I gained 63lbs while I was prego and V weighed 9lbs 4oz. I've lost 58lbs, and have 75 more to go in order to reach my high school weight of 160. I'm supposed to weigh 155 (I think) since I'm 5'5. I lost weight breast feeding and then after that with Zumba, but I'm getting bored and frustrated with my diet. I'm a very picky eater with a small budget. I also want to feel great and be healthy, and I don't want V to remember Mami when she was fat.

Hello! My name is Niki and I am a new mommy. My son, Carter, was born on 9.7.10. I am 23 years old and married to my high school sweetheart! I gained 40 lbs while pregnant and I have already lost approximately 30lbs since delivery. I am breastfeeding my son, so I am sure that really helps with the loss. I was overweight before I got pregnant..so I have a lot more than 10 lbs to lose. I would love to get to 130 again (or less, but thats my realistic goal!). I was always very tiny, weighing 115 lbs when I graduated high school and I have been packing on the pounds since then. Ultimately, I just want to feel great and be healthy so that I can be the best mommy I can be!

Hello! I'm Kristen, i'm 26 and a mom/wife/doctoral candidate with a 5 year old daughter and a 7 week old son (born July 19, 7lb 15 oz, 21 inches- 2 babies, no epidurals!! woot!!). I gained about 50lbs this time around and after all the water weight came off, i was about 187, and am now down to 180.. boo. I started jogging around week 4 lazily and am now trying to runagain.. i've gone twice and done about 2 mi each time in 30 min, so i'm much slower than i used to be.. oh, i forgot,. i lost 23 lbs on SP about a year ago before i got prego (Sept 2008-Juneish 2009) and it was awesome.. except that i have autoimmune thyroiditis which screws my metabolism. Now i'm dedicated to breastfeeding exclusively and am hoping to be able to lose weight by eating 2200 cal a day and exercising. I am currently at 180 and would be really happy at 150 with ultimate goal of 140.. lowest i got before was 147 and it was AWESOME. Thanks everyone!

Hey, my name is Renee and I'm the mother of a 10 month old baby girl named Olivia. I gained 34 lbs while pregnant and my body lost 21 lbs on its own...now it's time for me to get rid of the rest! I was a member of spark before getting pregnant and it helped me lose 20 lbs so I'm hoping it can help me lose the remaining 13, or at least 8. I wasn't motivated enough to start working out or eating right after giving birth but now that I have to return back to work next month and my work clothes don't fit properly, I started my journey on Sept 1st. I hope to lose a few inches to fit back in the clothes and then continue on the path to feel good about myself inside and out. Good luck to me and everyone else!!

Hi moms! I just had my 3rd child 6 months ago and I am trying to lose all the baby weight and a little more to be healthier. With my pregnancy I used it as an excuse to eat and I gained a lot of weight. A problem of mine is I work 40 hours a week and then I come home and I am so tired. I recently joined a gym to try and work out. The other problem I have is at work I sit at a desk all day. I need to find a way to balance work, family, and exercising.

Hi everyone! I had my beautiful baby boy on July 12. I had lost 120 pounds on Spark before getting pregnant, but I gained about 60 pounds with my pregnancy because I basically ate whatever I wanted and didn't exercise :( I am now about 6 weeks postpartum and have only lost about 20 pounds. I have about 40 pounds to get to my prepregnancy weight and then I still want to lose at least 40 more after that.

Even though I'm not breastfeeding or working, I'm still finding it really hard to find any time to get back to exercising and eating right. Hopefully this team and getting back on Sparkpeople can help me figure some things out.

I am a sahm to 3 girls. 8,5 and 4 months. I home school the big kids. I have a hard time taking in real meals. Many times, I just stand there and grab a bite here and there. I live off soda which I am really trying to quit. I drink about 2000 calories in soda a day. (I know, sick) Between educating my kids, keeping the house and taking care of the baby; I can't seem to to get a routine that works. My husband travels out of town a lot, so when he is home we walk 6 miles a day. When he is gone, we don't. I am hoping to become active on this site, and maybe I will find some inspiration to be consistent.

Hi, i'm a mom of an 11 month baby boy.....and i would like to lose about 20 lbs...my current weight is 127lbs and i'm only 4'9"...so with the extra weight, i really look huge...

The big problem for me is finding time to exercise bec once i got home, i take care of my baby.

I cannot stick to my exercise routine. I used to do Pilates every other night, which only lasted 2 weeks..

I tried walking from my work to home... about 25 min or so...is this enough?

i also have trouble keeping track of my food...sometimes, i forget to enter my daily intake...any suggestions about this?

Hi I'm a new mom to my 6 month old daughter Daphne. I am 29 years old and returned to work full time 5 weeks after having my daughter. The stress of that, post baby blues, and not being able to breastfeed stressed me out so much I started having anxiety. But thank goodness that's gone away.

I love being a mother...it's been such a fun, rewarding, amazing experience. I too like most women gained about 40 pounds with my pregnancy and 6 months later I'm only 4 pounds away from my pre-pregnancy weight.

I have learned through great advice from my brother-in-law to take time out of the day for myself to exercise. So that is what I do. I go to the gym while my mother or husband watches the baby and I go and de-stress, have my "me" time, and work on getting the baby weight off.

I'm here seeking motivation and support not only with weight loss but a new baby as well.

Hi mamas! I'm the mommy of a 3 year old boy and am hoping to lose 15-20 lbs. I am 26 years old and work full time out of the home as well, so when I get home, I am adamant about spending time with my family. That's why it gets so hard to stay on track and exercise daily. Hi everyone. I'm Amanda. I've been a member of Spark since June of 2008. With the help of Spark, I got to my goal weight, and stayed there for several months. Last summer, though, I fell off the wagon. Then I found out I was prego, and had a terrible time getting back into it. As a result, I gained about 55 pounds! Yikes! Just had my son in April & working to balance toddler, baby, sleep, husband, friends, exercise, etc. Trying to loose the baby weight by Labor Day, so far on track!

Hi!
My name is Emily, My daughter, Chloe was born on June 18th, 2010. I've been on Sparkpeople for a while now, not completely using it, and now that I've had my daughter I need a little bit more help and motivation to lose weight. My pre-pregnancy weight was 195 and I gained 49 pounds in my pregnancy, getting up to 244. I've lost 27 pounds so far, I'm down to 217. I'm hoping to get down to my pre-pregnancy weight by my birthday in November and then down to 150 by her birthday in June next year. I'm hoping with the help of this group and Sparkpeople I'll accomplish my goals!

Hi! I'm excited to join this group and start taking off this baby weight! My daughter, Grace, was born on 4/26/10. I gained about 40 lbs during pregnancy, and I now am about 30 lbs over my pre-pregnancy weight. I am looking to lose a total of 65 lbs, hopefully before my birthday on March 12th. Wish me luck!

Hi I'm Ericka I join Spark two months ago, but I'm finally going to start taking it serious. I have two beautiful children 7 month old and a 2 year old. I have my hands full all day, and I make excuses to eat unhealthy and not work out. My goal is to loose at least 20 lbs, and be happier of my appearance. So I could love my self again, and love my children and husband too..

Well I lost 107 lbs in 2007-2008.. Well I got down to 25lbs of my goal and bam the infertillity issues I had all my life seemed to have disappeared, and like magic I was pregnant 2 months after marrying my husband (unplanned) So I got discouraged with the healthy lifestyle. I was exhausted all the time and put on 50lbs during the pregnancy. Here it is a year later and I am still up 27lbs prepregnancy weight, and have an additional 25 I was looking to lose. I am committing myself NOW!!!! I am going to the gym with my sisnlaw and she is a true inspiration.

Hello, I'm Ellen and I'm jumping back on the SP wagon. :) I had my beautiful son 7 weeks ago and really want to take off the rest of the baby weight and then some. I started training for a 5K and I'm trying to get my eating back on track. Hopefully I can get a good jump start on things before I go back to work in August. Good luck to everyone!

Hi, Im Michelle and I had a baby girl in March. I am breastfeeding but the weight is not coming off. I haven't really worked out but I'm hoping to find the time to do so. I need to lose 15lbs!!! emoticon

Hi everybody! My name is Donnelle. I had a baby 7 weeks ago and he is AMAZING! I've decided that now is probably the best time to start losing the baby weight. I only need to lose 11 pounds to get down to my pre-pregnancy weight, but I also want to lose 10 extra pounds. I promised my husband I would look even better than I did before I had the baby. LOL But lately, I've been thinking that that will never happen. So I joined this website! I hope all of you wonderful ladies can help inspire me to do it. Hi there!
Here's a little about me. In 2007 I was roughly the same weight I am now ~210lbs. I was going to school full-time and working full-time and snacking and drinking (!) led to a lot of weight gain. My partner and I started counting calories and hitting the gym. I also started riding my bike to work. I lost 30lbs.

I pretty much maintained my weight, +/-5lbs. for the next 2 years. But, then I got pregnant! During the pregnancy I worked hard not to gain too much - midwife's orders. During my pregnancy I rode my bike and watched what I ate. I gained only about 25lbs.

Our baby was born in November about a month early by c-section. Because of the c-section, my formerly active pregnancy turned into an 8 week recovery. I was only allowed to walk, and due to Hazel's prematurity we couldn't be outside for long periods of time. Couple that with loads of food from visiting friends and relatives, and here I am back at 213lbs. :(

I've done it before - so I know I can do it again! This time I'd like to get down to 160. I figure it will take me about a year, but I'm in it to win it!

I'm looking forward to getting to know you guys!
