I sent you a private message about your brother but I didn't add that Addy is right. Don't let this ruin all your hard work, instead use it as a catalyst to work harder. Just imagine greeting him at the airport pounds lighter - he'll be stunned.

Amy-Thanks!! I'm sure excited about it. So much work that goes along with it though!

Dani-I'm so sorry to hear about your brother :( That's awful that he had to leave so quick like that. Try not to let it ruin your eating because you've been doing so well! Eat some comfort food...Skinny Cow ice cream is great and always helps cheer me up! Update us on the situation with your brother. Your family is in my thoughts. emoticon

Hey team. I'm having a rough day. My sister called me at work to let me know that my brother was deployed this morning. He was supposed to leave for another week or 2. He didn't even get a chance to call any of us or say goodbye. He sent my sister a quick text message before he boarded the plane. We don't know where he's headed, or when he'll return. Last we knew it was Iraq, but with this sudden change it could be anywhere. My eating has been horrible. I just don't feel like eating today. I've managed to eat some cheez its and a granola bar. I'm thinking of trying to atleast eat a sandwich before I go to bed.

Start Weight: 214 pounds
Goal 1: Get under 200 pounds.

Hi Everyone. I had a great day. Took my son out to get cleats for soccer which is starting tomorrow. then I pained part of the front porch and then when for a swim in the ocean. The water was wonderful.

Addy - so very happy for you. I know this was a big milestone for you.

As for me I'm in the middle of cooking a 4 course meal for 6 for tonight but wanted to take a minute to do my sparking.

I had a great time last night at the Blue Star Mothers (organization of mothers whose children are in the military - my Aunt is a member and I hope to join as an associate) banquet last night. I ate really well (salmon, steamed veggies, salad, fruit) - I even passed up the dressing on the buffet and asked them to go get me some balsamic vinegar for the salad. I stayed away from the booze although I really wanted a few drinks. I am still dragging due to the fact that we didn't get home until at 2 a.m.

I am busy sparking...I am on many teams and I like to stay as active as possible with each one. I aim to post at least once a week.

I am also doing some fitness challenges as the come up and other challenges and goals. I am having a relaxing day. Waiting until its cooler outside to go a long walk.

Good afternoon everyone!

I figured I'd start the check-in, even though it's late, because it helps me stay accountable even if no one else gets a chance to check-in today :)

Yesterday was a long day, but it was a pretty good one. I got my belly button pierced! It wasn't as painful as I thought it would be, but now I face a long healing time. I really like the way it looks and I'll post a picture soon :)
