That sounds really rough. I was surprised to learn this, but I actually do get a lot of support from being on SP. I guess I just hadn't expected to feel so encouraged and like a part of something just by participating in message boards and reading other people's blogs, but it really helps. We're all here for you, don't be afraid (when you have the time, I know how crazy busy things get) to get involved in your sparkteams. :)

I have not been to Spark since May. In June I started my Master's thesis research and after hours upon hours of research plus the obligations of my other classes I was overwhelmed. I also had a major fibromyalgia flare-up and I was in a huge amount of pain for a large part of the quarter. I ate food, drank coffee and smoked cigarettes to stay awake. Yes, I have been a smoker for a long time and have not admitted it because I didn't want to be judged. I am quitting both because of my health and the fact that I will be student teaching in January. I gained back all the weight I lost and more this Summer and the next 6 months will be the toughest I have had in school so I will need a lot of support! I will have to overcome time constraints, habit breaking, and my health (fibromyalgia). I will be finishing my thesis as well as student teaching while developing a 100 page portfolio to earn my teachers certification. I want to lose 10% of my body weight by December 31st. I could really use a buddy!
