I had to write about how I got interested in the field of my choice, along with my general experience in it and any publications, awards, honors, etc. that I won in my profession. I think they also asked about professional association membership (if I'm involved with any professional organizations).

I wrote about a page and a half. They told me how long they wanted it in word length rather than in pages, which I thought was more helpful.

Good luck!

I'm filling out info for campus scholarships (admittedly last minute, dang it--so many things going on I totally forgot this month...at least I've finished 1000 other things). I'm looking at the requirements and I'm trying to remember what to do with this one part so far.

it says that I need to "write a one page minimum, two page maximum personal statement. The Topic is your Choice. Use 12-pt font and double space."

That's all it says for "Personal Statement"--have you guys had to write one and how did you write it? I'm sure I'd done it sometime before, but I can't think of when (probably more than 5 years ago, I have no idea"--it just sounds so vague, and to top it off my brain's fully stuck on my Tuesday midterm essays, and this thing's due Monday with my other application info (which i need to work on tomorrow or Monday Morning--depending when I get this midterm sketched out)

anyhoo, tired and chatty, but I'd love some help with this question. Any good advice would be great as far as what you added in for yourselves or what I should definitely have, whatever.
