I am busy, but doing ok so far. Keeping just far enough from way behind to feel like the donkey chasing the carrot. I am sure if I work just a little harder I will catch up and maybe, if I work a little more, I can actually get a wee bit ahead. Hasn't happened yet.

Exercise has become a bit fitful lately but I am still getting in 4-5 days cardio a week. It will be 4 days this week, and likely 3 next, but I am keeping at it.

Yet there was a man within me
Could have risen to the clouds,
Could have touched these winds,
Bent and broken them down,
Could have stood up sharply in the sky.

Well I have an hour commute but I take the bus. It's an express to the university. I've been trying to use my laptop and do work during that time so it's not as big of a waste but it's hard when the bus is crowded and people are standing around you.

What is the insanity program like?

I'm more working on getting activity back in right now than worrying as much about the diet. My diet isn't terrible but a foot injury last January killed my activity level (and still does some days).

I'm excited for morning workouts! Although it will mean that I have to get up insanely early to get a workout in and then hitch a ride to the bus station. I think it will be a good start to the day.

Having birthdays clustered like that is so brutal eh? My mom's is october 4th too so it's like the birthday parade for our family!

Too much love during the holidays! ;)

I start with orientation on Friday. I, too, have an hour drive to and from school each day. How do you cope with that? I am a little nervous about what is to come...I work out at home as well...I will be in night school so morning workouts may be a little easier to fit in than when I was an undergrad (although I didn't have as far to drive then). I am doing the Insanity program which is pretty structured and so is the diet, hope I can keep it up at school at night. Thanks for reminding me...I have 3 birthdays in October, lol.

Hi Everyone!

Just wondering how everyone's fall semester is going so far. Mine has been very hectic as usual. Add to the usual school stuff the fact that we have 3 family birthdays in September! I'm only now getting into a routine that I hope to keep up with. The company my boyfriend works for gives them money to put towards fitness (they can use it to claim expenses like gym passes or fitness equipment) and using that combined with my birthday money we purchased an elliptical!

I'm planning to do a half hour in the morning and half hour at night. I commute an hour each way to campus everyday so I'm really excited about being able to exercise at home!

How is everyone else doing now that the undergrads have returned to campus in droves?
