Wow! That sounds awesome! You are definitely very inspirational for me. Keep that up and you'll definitely be hitting your goal weight, which is totally amazing.

Consistency has been good to me. I see some very positive changes in me and I'm starting to arrive at a place that I used to think was totally off limits. And the obsession and pressure has been lifted. My program seems to be working so I think I'm going to stick with it.

Good luck reaching your goals.

I don't graduate until May 2011 - but I know that some of my goals will be realized between now and then.

I will hit my 100 lbs lost, and then my ultimate weight loss goal around August 2010! (only 4 yrs in the making.. whoo!)

I will finish Hood to Coast this year - also Aug 2010

I will do my first half marathon and marathon between now and then.

Like at school, I just keep plugging away at it. It's all consistency!

My goals are to stay on a schedule, work three times a week, eat healthy portions of healthy foods, track my foods, and I am not allowed to get obsessed over my school work. I haven't set any weight loss goals yet. I am trying to focus on the lifestyle changes especially as they relate to consistency.

I should walk the stage and be hooded as a PhD in April 2011 (w00t! God willing and the creek don't rise, as we say here in the south and as nerds.)

I want to be at 135 by that day because I've worked really, really hard and overcome some obstacles.

Working on Chapters 1-3, forming committee, and finishing coursework. Comps possibly by this July or in the Fall. Yikes!

hmm...i'm gonna do something different. I wanted to be at my goal weight by the time i finish grad school, but i'm going to end up postponing my grad school somewhat right now (can't afford it, need to try and find jobs near me and work on other stuff this semester)

well, i'm keeping my overall goal to be down to a healthy weight by graduation, but since I can't go back this coming semester (not nearly enough money and trying to deal with new issues right now), I'll be using the time I would be dedicating to class in the gym--I will have time now. I wanna take a huge dent out of the amount of weight I will lose (I lose slowly, very slowly when i'm stressed or super busy with school.) This is time for good habits to be fully concentrated on right now, and I'll be doing that.

congrats to those who've graduated. all the best and keep going guys!

emoticon KACOPHANI and MCKIMBER! It's always good to hear about folks who finish the PhD since there are days it seems so far away.

I'm in the 3rd year of my program and just wrapped up coursework. As I get ready for my qualifying exam this coming term, I'm thinking about training for a half-marathon to keep me sane. By the time I graduate, I'm hoping to simply be a healthier, happier version of myself regardless of what the scale says.

I'm in my second year of a Ph.D. degree. I hope to be done in 2 more years (since I already have an M.Sc.) and to complete a half-marathon the year I graduate. It would be awesome to obtain the highest degree AND complete such a physical challenge!!!

While I'm walking across the stage in May, about a month later I'll be attending my 25th college reunion (undergraduate). This has served as more of a goal date for me. I'm already at a lower weight than when I graduated, so I'm thrilled. I also think this is more realisitic than May, since I'm a bit stressed and already living deadline to deadline! I don't think the date matters, as long as it's meaningful to you. emoticon

I want to lose 10 more pounds by the time I strut across that stage on May 9th. Can I do it? Yes, I can!
