This week I have been bringing grapes, pears, and oatmeal cookies (recipe on sparkrecipes) and that has been keeping me going.

So far, I haven't been too tired...but we'll see in a couple of weeks.

I agree. Small, nutrition packed snack will do wonders (apples travel well). You might want to grab some granola bars, string cheese (which is my latest craving), carrots, etc. to keep you going. Caffeine is definitely not the way to go if you can help it, but some iced or hot tea might help.

That's just too long to go from 10:30 - 11:00 a.m. until 7:30 p.m. I'd try to have various small snacks that you can grab between classes, etc. String cheese and or a baggie of 10 raw almonds are great for me. I'll be interested in other suggestions you get.

Ok, so I start my first classes tomorrow.

I am working (teaching) full-time and taking 3 classes on top of that. 2 in the evenings, and 1 day a week I am out in the field (so basically teaching without pay).

While in a training today, I realized how hard it is to listen to lecture after working all day.

Does anyone have any magic lunch ideas that keep you energized through a long day? I don't really do coffee, and I don't think I want to start. But, I want to be alert for classes. Right now I am eating lunch at 1030am (on the Kindergarten lunch schedule), and then I won't be able to eat dinner until after 7:30 when I get home.
