Good luck! I have many unfinished projects as well, but they have to wait until work settles down.

I have 3 unquilted tops, about 3 kits with fabric and patterns and one quilt on the design wall waiting for some embroidery to come back. I need to finish something. Machine quilting is a stickler for me. I have a baby quilt top ready for a new grand newphew and would love to complete it but machine quilting haunts me. Need to finish it this week!

I am embarrassed at how far behind I am on the projects ongoing and projects planned etc. I have done a tiny bit of mending, made a skirt for DGD and some pillows for DD...but no REAL sewing and quilting in wayyy too long. I am so proud of YOU who have! I will get to it one of these days....I hope.

I have so much material and I just decided it was time to piece together some quick tops and make throws for my house and maybe gifts. I finished a purple and brick colored throw now I just need to do the hand work and quilt it. Woo Hoo 1 down and bunches to go.

Nice feeling to finish something..even if it isn't perfect. Nice to use up "stuff" that takes up space...and even better if it can go to a good cause! emoticon

It wasn't quite a "UFO" but I just finished my first-ever machine quilted quilt :) It's not the best, the quilt was just strips of fabric sewn together, polyester batting left-over from my first-ever quilt 10+ years ago, and a flannel back. I just did "stitch in the ditch" along the seams of each color, though the larger pieces I did an extra row down the center. But it's fluffy. It's done. And it used up materials I've had taking up space for a while. I'm donating it tonight to my quilting guilds charity quilts thing.

Good for you for finishing a UFO. I finished one, a small fiber art piece which is 3-D. Had tucked it away and came across it when looking for something else. It fits into the show we are having next month so I finished it up. Also finished up another piece, a bra which I've made into a little purse - totally covered with odds and ends of upholstry trim, will call it "well upholstered". I can't believe I finished two projects in the same weekend.

I don't seem to have a problem with that. I have a reserve inventory for weddings and charities. But I continue to add to the inventory. I tend to go in spurts on any hobby so I build up a reserve so when I move to my next hobby I have extras for the transition.

That's a nice idea to keep them ready for new-baby gift giving. For me, it's more like I should keep a couple wedding gift quilts ready...my daughters are at that age! Our older DD just got married, and our younger DD is engaged. All their friends are planning weddings, as well. emoticon

I decided I needed to always keep 2 baby quilts in reserve for gifts. One girls and one boys. Last night I finished the boys. I tied it off instead of quilting it and it looks really sweet. I'll post a picture later.

Now I can start on my summer quilt for my bed.
