I agree with the others about DVD's and you can even jump on YouTube and find some free stuff there as well. Virtually ALL of my workouts are done at home. I have an xbox Kinnect that works to mix things up but mainly I do video's off of Netflix/Hulu and of course SP emoticon . The only equipment I have is a small set of hand weights and a Yoga Matt (came with DVD) . I workout whenever I have free time and it works great. You can find lots of free video's online and hear on SP as well. If you get 10 minute intervals jump find a quiet space and do whatever you can.

I would also consider changing up or diet or even detoxing to get over that hump (just be healthy) . I hope you get over that hump soon!!! emoticon

How many calories are you eating? If you're on the low end of your range, try increasing your cals for a day. If you're at the high end, try eating on the low end for the day. This usually helps me break through a plateau. I can imagine how frustrating it is sitting on the edge of onederland and being stuck! Hang in there, you'll get it!

I go to the gym every night after my little one goes to bed cuz my dad is here to stay with him. It's just keeping moving during the day that I have problems with. But I like the workout DVD idea maybe I'll start playing simple games on my wii to keep moving around while he's napping.

while baby's napping you can do exercises at home..there are plenty of ideas on this site..most of them require nothing more than you & a chair & some stretch bands, or a few heavy cans..if you can afford it, you could buy a portable exercycle..i have one that is adjustable, sits on the floor under a mat and is portable..

I agree with workout DVDs. I am a stay at home mom of a 2yo and a 3yo, live in a tiny Tx town, and my husband is gone Sunday-Fri, so he can't watch the kids while I go to the gym in early or late. Without DVDs, I would not be able to exercise at all! If you have a Netflix subscription, htey have a ton of workout dvds that you can rent, and have a bunch of things you can watch instantly.

I am a fan of Zumba, any of Jillian Micheals' dvds, and TurboFire. I have heard that you can search for Zumba workouts on youtube, but haven't tried this myself.

Also, there is a YMCA locally here, and while I haven't checked it out yet, they do offer classes like kickboxing, Zumba, water areobics, and they offer child care during most of the day. The membership fees are pretty reasonable, $55 a month for a family. I am trying to get my DH to go with us to check it out!

Another option is something like Wii Fit or the XBox Kinect (or whatever it's called). I like that I can change up between dance workouts and more traditional cardio & strength training programs like you are at the gym.

I agree with the workout dvd idea! You don't need a lot of space to do many of them, and there are lots of formats to pick from! I like the dancing workouts myself. Just don't sabotage yourself by picking a really hard one to start off with, like Insanity or P90x. Start with the beginner ones and work up from there! Most of them aren't very long- you can probably get one done during nap time! I started with Shaun T's Hip Hop Abs, and lost 25 lbs while my hubby was at BCT last year doing 20-25 mins per day.

I have been doing a Sweatin to the Oldies 2 dvd. Maybe you could do something like that while he's taking a nap. I think it's a fun workout.

In a previous post I stated that I was having trouble getting over that 200 bump in the road! I'm STILL having that problem! I think part of my problem is how active I am during the day. I'm a stay at home mom and am having a hard time trying to find activities to do to keep me on my feet and keep my metabolism going at a good pace. I live in a small town of about 400 people so there isn't a lot to go out and do. The weather is finally starting to get nice, so we can go to the park and on walks. But what are some other suggestions to keep me off my behind? My biggest problem is when he is down for a nap. I can't leave the house and there is only so much cleaning I can do in a day. PLEASE help!! I'm gonna go crazy trying to get over that hurtle. I know I'll get there eventually, but I hate it when something I want is staring me in the face cuz it's just at my finger tips and I can't reach it…….
