I am sorry for your losses.

How about you treat yourself to some new perfume, or sexy smelling lotions? Maybe some new candles that you can enjoy burning throughout your house?

I like books, so that is always a big reward for me too!

When I reach my 50 pound goal I am getting a new tattoo, and when I finally reach my goal weight I am getting all new clothes, undergarments etc...

I bought myself a nice bracelet. I also bought some clip on charms, and every milestone I add a charm. It's great, you nearly forget its there, then you feel one of the charms and its a reminder to each milestone you have achieved.

It's a tough loss but it will get better. Just know that you have lots of support. I had a miscarriage before having my son and then two more after. The third one was so hard and when I got pregnant immediately (and I mean immediately) after I cried for days thinking "how can I go through this again". 9 months later I was blessed with a beautiful daughter who is the strongest most free spirited child you could meet! God has plans for everything and he knew I wasn't done with my family even when I thought I was.

Now for rewards? I like what everyone has posted! I'm thinking you need a pamper day, too! Of course, the right earrings and undies always make a girl feel sexy so go for it! emoticon

Thank you so much for the support - it's definitely been tough and still hurts but I know that life is for living to the fullest and my daughter has such an amazing attitude and unfortunate depth to her now that in some ways I'm grateful for (not saying in the least I would wish it on anyone or want to go through it again) But I love these ideas! Undies, shoes (maybe some cute sandals to go after the pedi) I'll be making some updates so check back to my goals emoticon

I am sorry to hear of your loss. Keep your head up!

I have long term rewards (for behavior) and short term. It's a big reward for the long run. Designer shoes

For the short term - workout dvds, heartrate monitor, new clothing items, more shoes (not high end designer), makeup, itunes or kindle gift cards, etc.! I am trying to switch it up so every other reward is a health based reward. Like this 2 week goal reward was a heart rate monitor, and the next 2 week goal is a new top!

The power to change, the courage to do, the will and drive to be exceptional lies within me, and by leaving my fears, my doubts, and my excuses behind, I embrace all that lies within me.

I am so sorry for your losses. I can't even begin to imagine how you are feeling.

For rewards how about something you have been really wanting.. for me it's a pair of lululemon pants. Right now I canot justify spending $90 on pants I wont fit into in 6 month so they are on my list. Other than that how about a great pair of shoes or workout equiptment to help you keep going??

I hope that helps and sorry again

I'm not telling you it's going to be easy. I'm telling you it's going to be worth it.

I'm sorry for your tragic losses. I cannot imagine what you went and are going through.

As for reward suggestions -- how about:
New Shoes
New Purse
Facial
Hairstyle
Gift card for Itunes or something you love
Earrings, necklace - or some other piece of new jewelry -- silver for 20 pounds - gold for 40
New glasses frames - or maybe just new sunglasses
New cosmetics -- makover?

does that help?

I am so sorry for your losses as well. Now that you are ready to focus on your goals, rewarding yourself is a great way to keep you on track!

One reward I am planning on for myself is a new pair of jeans (good ones!) I have an idea of about what weight I will need them, so when I get to that goal I plan on going to try some on! You will certainly go down a few sizes as you lose, so that would be a great way to reward your hard work!

I am so sorry for your losses. You needed time to mourn and you will always miss your niece. I am sure that you are still mourning both the loss of her as well as your pregnancy.
Believe me, you will need new panties too. After 25 lbs my undies were too big! Why not add sme new lovely undies to the list. Also, a date night with hubby to see a special movie.

Ok ladies - I need some help I'm back to seriously sparking after a crappy end of 2010 end of June my hubby and I found out we were pregnant at the beginning of August I went in for a D&C because of a miscarriage and then in November my 4 month old niece passed away (we had taken care of her a lot and my 5 year old was very close with her) I let those things put me into survival mode and I only worried about making it through the days and eating helped me feel better. I'm focusing on whipping that emotional eating back into place and now coming to terms w/ where I am not where I was in my goals when this happened (I gained roughly 25 pounds in the last 6 months of 2010) I updated my weight goals to the above to track where I'm at now and where I want to be - my ultimate goal is 160 but for 2011 I would like to reach 200. It's a lot - 65 pounds from where I'm sitting now. But I know I can do it. I can work at it and make it - but I would like some help w/ ideas for rewards to help keep me exited and engaged in this journey again. Let me know your ideas and what keeps you motivated!
