I've learned that I cannot do this journey alone.

I've learned that the 20 chews a bite really does work.

I've learned that I need to take care of me.

I've learned I need to be more consistent with my exercise, and making sure I always have ready to eat freggies on hand at all times.

When I buy a box of Kashi Oatmeal Dark Chocolate Cookies (soooooooooo yummy!) I eat them all within 24 hours. There's pretty much no way to stop it. So I really need to cut back to a box every two months.. maybe every month.. if it's the only thing I eat that day, haha.

I also learned that I'm not losing as much weight as I would like :( and I don't think it's because I'm eating unhealthily, but maybe just too much? I need to start tracking my food again.. and upping the exercise a bit..

On the bright side, I can jog for a longer amount of time than was possible 2 weeks ago! :D

I'm going to take the cucumber challenge today...Will let you know!!

I have learned:

1) I can't jump in full force and expect results. Baby steps work the best.

2) Compliments are awesome. I'm gonna keep on keeping on to get more!

3) I love feeling all sweaty, out of breath and having a red face. It is awesome!!

Baked, panko-breaded eggplant with marinara dipping sauce is delicious, high-fiber, low-calorie, and tastes almost exactly like mozzarella cheese sticks. Who knew?

Next, I'm going to do the same thing to butternut squash, and have a yogurt maple-syrup dipping sauce on the side.

I've learned once again, that I feel guilty if I eat a big bowl of ice cream instead of eating just a scoop.

I've also learned (or at least think I may have learned) that Chromium Picolinate is helping control my carb cravings (except for the ice cream and that was because I was alone and doing my hiding/boredom eating, not really a craving). I started using it this week after reading that some studies say it helps and some say it doesn't, but it was cheap and I'd heard good things from people I work with and I know of a few doctors who suggest it for their bariatric patients. I got mine at Walmart.

I've learned that overeating makes me sick to my stomach.

Love this post, what a great thing to reflect on what we've learned...

1) Wasa multi-grain crackers with weight watcher's cream cheese and tomatos and cucumbers is FABULOUS, low fat and high in fiber!

2)The word sniper comes from soldiers practicing their shots by aiming at Snipe birds.

3) Cutting up lemons and putting them in my water, makes me want to drink more water.

4) Trampolines are great exercise and it's been fabulous to see my kids out there working off their hineys...

5) Walking and riding bikes with the kids to school is a way to get exercise and also stay green...I don't need to move a 2000lb car 1 mile when we can move our bodies.

Have a great weekend everyone!

God is in control!

Just a couple things I've learned over the week that I wanted to share....

#1- Biteguards improve your performance. Stand up straight and try to touch your toes...(remember how far you get). Now bite down on a pencil (you should be biting on both sides of your mouth) and bend down and do it again- you go so much farther! Supposedly it releases adrenalin...crazy huh? Just thought I would share, I thought it was cool!

#2- I found an amazing recipe that soothes that craving for crap food! A piece of the Flat-out Flat Bread (I got the Multi-Grain with flax), toast in the oven then throw 1/2 cup marinara sauce, 1/4 cup 2% Mozerella, Turkey Pepperoni and sprinkle some parmasean cheese- throw it back in the oven at 350 for about 5 minutes then VOILA! You can cut it lengthwise and then in 5 sections so it feels like you just keep eating- all for under 350 calories and TONS of fiber in the bread!!!
