I have a very good friend that teaches Zumba. I love going to class, and even let her talk me into doing a dance recital.. I find it strange that you don't want to go back. Our class is very supportive of one another. I guess that is the beauty of it not being at a gym. I take classes at a local dance studio. I bet if you check around you could find a class at a dance studio or local church. Don't be worried about the dance studio.. Trust me, we are a bunch of Moms just having fun. No professional dancers..lol You can also go on line and find local classes. Hope this helps. I just know that a lot of what makes it fun is the other ladies in the class.

The classes are 10X better than the dvds! My own opinion :) If you are going to invest money, I would take the classes.

I have used Zumba for the Wii and it's a good workout and a lot of fun. I still would like to attend an actual class though.

Curves has Zumba classes, I don't know if you HAVE to be a member of Curves to take them. But, you might feel comfortable there. I haven't ever tried Zumba, to me there was a really smart guy who took latin dancing, gave it a name, traidmarked it & is making Billions! But, the people I know who do Zumba seem to be addicted! Maybe, you can find the DVD's at your local library & try them before investing any $ in them.

Hello Sparkbuddies emoticon

I was wondering if anyone has tried the Zumba Dvds at home. There is a class at my gym and I use to go when I was alot smaller but I gained my weight back and I dont want to go. I was thinking of getting the DVDs but I'm not sure. I love to dance and when I go to the site, it look fun.
