No competitive sports here, though I did practice with a swim team for a while when I was ...oh...10-14 I guess. During High School the only sports I played were video games! College had no real push for sports, but I bellydanced for many years... once again, no competitive sports for me. I never had a real competitive streak in me outside of doing MY best, and various health problems didn't make it any easier!

I played softball in 8th grade. It was the only sports team I was ever on. I am no athlete! I was a band geek. :)

I ran track in Middle school (they didn't have it in high school)-loved it! Hardest thing for me
was giving up running...I have always been into active sports,so for me giving that up has
been major depressing.

Have you ever belonged to any formal sports teams? If yes, what sport, how old were you and did you enjoy it?

I was on the High School swim team. I loved it mostly because it let me be in the water. LOL! I was the original water baby, started swimming before I was 5.

If dog showing is considered a sport, then yep! I've been running around a show ring for over 25 years now... The past few years I have had to quit showing because I could not get up and down easily. As my weight has dropped, and my fitness level has increased, I hope to start showing again in the Fall of 2012. I love showing my Corgis! You have to be somewhat athletic to lift a dog up on the table for the judge to examine, and you need to be able to kneel next to your dog to show it off properly when the judge does their "walk by". It isn't easy to run around a ring, either, if you are not in decent physical shape. Especially if the show is outdoors. Corgis can move!
I played basketball in elementary school. I loved it...

Step into the unknown with confidence! Trust that in the darkness of that first step there will either be something solid to stand on, or you will be taught how to fly!

I was the official scorekeeper and assistant coach for 12 years of Cal Ripkin Little League Teams. I was in my forties into fifties. That was really my first experience with formal team sports, for any age. There were few such opportunities for girls when I was growing up, and once I was diagnosed at age 16, I was discouraged from doing such physical activities and excused out of P.E. The little league team was a personal blessing - it forced me to get active, to help out the boys.

I used to play soccer in grade school at the age of 10 - 11. I did enjoy it. But I developed Rheumatoid when I was 16, so I didn't do much after that.
