I see my stuff isn't the only one that goes wonky Gloria!!! Weird letters replacing the letter before and the apostrophe...

Sorry the weather there is so lousy but at least you are up there and I hope it puts your mind at ease a bit. Take care and keep us up to date, meanwhile Hugs.

I’m in Michigan and forgot the power supply for my laptop so am doing this via phone. I’ve got my iPad but haven’t taken it out of suitcase...too hard to carry it around. Ice storm yesterday and bad roads but at least no power outages.

We lucked out again yesterday with those rains, although it was like a monsoon at times. Some of these outdoor events are hard to reschedule because there are so many of them especially during warmer weather. Funny thing last weekend or two ago, a friend announced it was too cold to be at a Lebanon event and put her stuff on line to sell - she did way better with that than if she froze her skinny backside off in a tent!

It's never easy trying to decide what to do and if it's worth taking a chance on change. It'll be a nice change of scenery to check it out.

Lots of luck with the kickboxing.

Gloria, hope things are getting better for your Mom.

Well, everyone have a good Sunday in spite of the wetness.

Well, he is looking for jobs in the NC area and I think he has applied to a few. He does have the option of staying with his current company and working remotely if he can't find anything right away, but I don't want to put all my faith in that. I'm considering giving ourselves until the end of June and then making the decision to renew the lease or move at that time. I think we are going to visit the area near the beginning of May. We were talking about that last night. I don't see how it would be that much different than here but you never know. I know it's cheaper!

I'm not sure how bad these storms are going to be today. They canceled this outdoor expo thing at Bells Bend, which is a shame. It doesn't seem like they are going to reschedule, which I think is kind of weird. Anyway, hope you all have a good weekend. We are going to try kickboxing at I love Kickboxing, tomorrow morning. We bought a Groupon for 10 classes, a personal training session and gloves. We shall see how I like it!

Gloria, it is a shame that companies flat out take advantage of their employees, I hope you get out for some air today - although it is so windy you'd get quite a workout going into it. Hey at least get out and get some vitaD! You too Gwenn.

Is there a way you can write or email one of your Mom's medical team tell them you don't think he has a full understanding and ask them to talk to your Dad to assess this? Better yet, would she sign a release for you to talk to them, if for no other reason to put your mind at ease a bit more?

Gwenn, that is quite a chance to take, not having a job when you move, which you already know and I agree with Gloria; it seems he is beyond ready for change. You know we are here to give you support.

Well, enjoy your day - grab some vitaD!

Yeah, thanks Gwenn, my mom is okay but not great. I am still very worried.

It's a hard situation, moving. Does your hubby have job leads in these other places? Can he find something else around here? Or is he/you just ready for change? I used to consider moving but now I feel like I don't want to leave my friends here. When I was young I just jumped, as you said, Gwenn...when I graduated from college at age 22 I moved here...like the day after graduation, literally. I didn't have any family or friends here, or a job. Then when I was 26 I upped and moved to Paducah, then a couple of years later to Owensboro, and then a year later back here. I didn't have any ties to those places and I did it for my career (which is no longer my career). So you two will figure out what is best for both of you and it will work out and you will be happy!

Good weather today. I never get outside anymore except for my Saturday runs. All runs are on the treadmill and I work through lunch every day. I need to get outside.

Hope your mom is still doing ok and recovering. It's hard when they don't want to tell you everything.

Things are going ok over here. Still having discussions about next steps in our lives. I think we found an area that we are interested in learning more about and seeing if we should move. Now, do I think we will be ready in July? Not sure about that. I've also thrown into the mix that maybe I want to stay because of work, but that involves asking for FT there and I don't really think they have the work for that. It's not that we aren't busy but it fluctuates so much. If I leave, I will pretty much have been there for 2 years. But I also don't want to keep my husband here because he is pretty over his work situation and other things. I feel like we should stick it out till the end of the year because we have more of our ducks in a row, but maybe we just have to jump. I don't know!

I think what my dad says is true - based on his perceptions. He probably isn't thinking about the fact that she needs three more surgeries and that she really isn't walking as much as she needs to be. She has some issues that I am worried will land her back in the hospital.

I think I slept much better last night - feel a lot better today! I did get up very early to go to the Y. But not as sleepy.

Frosty car this morning but it will warm up this afternoon I think.

I can understand your worry and frustrations over what is going on with your Mom. Have you told Dad that his not giving you the whole story is not right and causing you to worry more?

Between your races AND work schedule - no wonder you are tired!!! And yes, to doze off in the dental chair, I'd say you are beyond tired. I hope you get to work from home this week.

How's everything in your corner of town Gwenn?

Quiet around here, looks like we will warm up for awhile again. Have a great day!

I must still be recovering from work last week, soooo tired! I had dental work done yesterday, major stuff and I feel asleep at least once during that - and barely could stay awake the rest of the time. I need a day off from work but don't see that happening - maybe I can work from home one day soon, that seems to help me reset.

Talked to both parents, I keep getting more pieces of the puzzle...he says she is getting stronger, she tells me she walked 14 steps and not all at once. She needs more surgery. Still very worrisome if you ask me.

Had a nightmare of a week last week at work. Hoping for better today. Have dental work today. Yuck.

Had Oak Barrel Half on Saturday - oh the cold and wind! Still love that race, for sure one of my favorites, maybe even my very favorite one. But that COLD AND WIND! Best bling, best food.

I see that my post from the other day didn't go through, guess there was a glitch somewhere on sparks because many had the same complaint.

Gloria, WOW, sepsis! I know you are relieved they put that puzzle piece in place, how is she doing? Bet she is relieved to have an answer to what was wrong. I know you must be.

What a whirlwind weekend you both had and both of you are a very good friend to have for sure. Hope your friend is holding up well.

Traffic everywhere was crazy, the family drove up from the Florida panhandle and between construction and heavy traffic it took 4 hours longer.

Our daughter had sepsis, crazy how they caught it. She went to a walk in clinic in JAX with a bad cough, as she was driving home she got worse so instead of heading home she headed to the Daytona Beach area ER (there is nothing in or near her podunk town) where they admitted her with sepsis and pneumonia , so you never know.

Crazy weather, mother nature had her way the other night with the house, blew some of the Hardiplank off! Found some of it maybe 30 feet away, one piece hit the house next door and broke into pieces, luckily it did not dent their vinyl. I'm thinking it probably hit the stone work.

Stay warm, it is Friday eve already!

Traffic yesterday was the PITS! I was at work late and so when I left I thought it would be better but NO!

Went to the class at the Y this morning. As much as I hate getting up that early, I sure do love that class...and double stars at Starbucks today so guess what I am having for breakfast, lol. I am trying to cut out the chai lattes due to the sugar content but they are soooo tasty!

I just started back to working out today and I have to do it before work or I won't do it. Sorry that you have had to work so much!

Well, the traffic was about 30 minutes outside of Atlanta, all the way through to the other side. I'm assuming it was super early rush hour traffic because of the holiday, but not sure. The way home there were a couple of accidents, but I think it was mainly volume.

Yeah, I am exhausted too, having to work on my day off Thursday, having to get up early to work before we left Friday, worked all day Sunday, 11 hours yesterday (with no breaks)....I've been fitting in my workouts before my shower in the morning but that means getting up super early...I am trying to figure out how to get all of my running miles in that I need for the week and how to get my rest day and how to get enough sleep, lol. This weekend is Oak Barrel Half and then other than crazy work I think I can chill a little.

Gwenn, was there a wreck or something to Atlanta, I don't know, traffic everywhere is getting worse and worse.

I'm glad your mom got to the hospital when she did and that she is recovering well. Scary!

Sounds like you had a hectic weekend as well. Glad the race went well.

I left Friday morning for Atlanta and it took 6 hours to get to where I was staying, instead of 4. Crazy traffic. I should have left at like 6am. The funeral was on Saturday and I left Atlanta around 4ish and got here around 8. Yesterday I was exhausted and I still feel that way today. Back to work tomorrow.

I've been AWOL, oh this schedule! I wanted to stay home this weekend but my friend was doing a full marathon in Indiana and I didn't want her to go alone (well, we knew like 30 people who were going but none that we are super close with) so I went and did the half marathon. Anyway, I was supposed to be off work Thursday and ended up working the whole day, was supposed to be off Friday because we left Friday at 7 am but I had to work before I left so got up very early. Race Saturday, she had to come right home for Easter so we got home around 8:30 pm Saturday, and then I worked most of yesterday. So exhausting! Next week is Oak Barrel but I LOVE that race, I didn't love this one - just not good timing for me.

My mom as it turns out had sepsis - omg, so glad she went to the hospital, they saved her life. She is doing a lot better, getting stronger - they moved her to rehab last week and she is happily watching the Detroit Tigers and will watch U of M in the NCAA playoffs (NOT my team, lol).

Anyway, now I need to get to work. Hoping this week isn't too terrible!

Good Heaven's Gloria!!! Good thing she went for help when she did and they discovered the clot too. Keeping her in my prayers and quick recovery thoughts. Seems like they keep finding something, let this be the end of it. It's hard I know not being there.

Is it the Millington race this weekend? Brave woman doing back to backs.

Gwenn, sorry to hear about your friend, what is going on lately? Our daughter's best friends ex husband passed away last week of sudden cardiac arrest, he was 49 maybe. Good that you are going to be there, safe travels, seems like the weather will be better.

I agree, hold off on turning in your papers...hard to figure out what your hubby is thinking to not have a better plan on this.

Not much going on around here, looks like the sun is trying to come out right now but that wind is still blowing pretty good. Everyone have a good one! Oh, glad we don't have a bundt place around here. My fav place gets me in enough trouble as it is.

Today has been crazy. Only here two days this week and was out Friday - got here today and computer wouldn't work. Ugh. Finally got it to work just in time for lunch. Hubby called and asked me to go to Chuy's with him, and I ate too much. Now I am rushing to get stuff done and I have meetings galore this afternoon and tomorrow.

Well, my mom has a blood clot in her leg but they are treating that and so I think that will be okay. She said if I come there I will be just sitting around with her so she would rather I wait and come later.

I'm glad your mom is getting the care she needs and glad she went in if she had an infection! Scary.

Sounds like a good day off to me! I love Nothing Bundt Cake and happy early birthday to you!

Yeah, I also think it's too early. I mean, I know my husband is adamant that we move, mainly because of family stuff, but you have to be realistic. Or at least be pounding the pavement. Instead, he's super stressed at work and has been given more work to do. Not sure how he has the time to do all of this.

I'm going to have surgery a month from today. Just scheduled it earlier today. Female issues but it should be an easy outpatient thing. I've had this before and it takes a few days to get back to moving around.

Well, they didn't know what was wrong with my mom because she wouldn't go to the hospital but now we know....she has an infection, which they are now treating, and also she had minor surgery last night related to that. She probably has a broken hip. They were thinking she would need surgery for that but now they don't think so. She already has had a physical therapist in her room helping her walk a few steps. She will have to go to rehab. Good news is that for the first time in a few weeks she is eating well and probably getting some much needed rest - she wasn't sleeping much at all and it's hard to sleep in a hospital but she was getting NO sleep so this is all good. Talked to my dad earlier, he is very positive and in good spirits. Said don't come right now because she is being well cared for and is going to be okay but he will let me know if anything changes. She texted me and told me all about the food she is eating, and is worried about missing the opening game for the Detroit Tigers (on TV) but can watch her soap on her phone, so I think things are okay right now.

So sorry about your friend's situation. Sounds very sad. Glad you are able to go and support her.

I would probably not mention about leaving yet - I really think that giving two weeks notice is enough but giving a month is very good if you can - no need to give more especially until you know specifically what the plan is. Once you figure that out, then you could potentially give a longer notice but for now I would just sit tight until closer to that time. But goodness I would be so stressed and crazy if I didn't know what the plan was - I need to know where I am going and when and it has to be planned down to every excruciating detail, lol

I am off today, hubby is working from home. We went to lunch at Zoe's and then I got a bundtlet at Nothing But Bundt Cakes and a chai latte at Starbucks - kind of indulgent but I just did Ragnar and have a half marathon next weekend...plus it's birthday week so yeah, I will have my free gluten free bundtlet - ha! I've been doing a few things around here, organizing and such and just chilling out.

Great job on completing your race! Hope your mom is doing ok. Did they ever tell you what was wrong?

Next Friday I am driving to Atlanta to go to a funeral. My friend's ex husband passed away unexpectedly on Wed. She was still rather close to him as it wasn't your typical ex relationship, so she is having a difficult time. I talked to her yesterday and it sounds like his family is blaming her. Not sure how they figured that! So I felt it was only right I go to support her as we have been through many things together. I hope to be home Saturday night sometime.

I'm also trying to use as many vacation days as I can before the end of July. I actually got 2 more as part of my award and I just finished using up the 4 from last year. What a terrible problem to have, right? haha

I haven't told my boss anything about the potential move in July. I'm not sure if I should tell her now as things obviously change. I was planning on giving a month notice just because I feel that would be the right thing to do, but some friends think I should tell her now. I just still think it is too soon. Since it is only the 2 of us and she told me really early when she was pregnant and tried to help me out by making sure I was prepared, I don't want to leave her high and dry, but at the same time, I know this is only a job. So I'm still thinking about this. And getting info from my husband is like pulling teeth. He is adamant that we leave but I don't get anything else like, where do you want to go and what's going on with job applications? It's really frustrating. I guess I'll just start packing stuff up in May or the beginning of June and see what happens.

Gwenn

We had a great time! We weren't impacted too badly by the weather - some rain but nothing bad. Race started in Chattanooga Friday morning and we were done yesterday at about 4:30 I think? yesterday. Got home around 7 or so I think? I am not even sure, lol! Friend from school was passing through town late last night so I met up with her for coffee for a couple of hours, hadn't seen her in 35 years so that was wonderful! Today I am trying to do the normal stuff, laundry and groceries and spending time with hubby.

Also my mom is going to the hospital today and I am very worried and was very upset but glad she is going to get checked out. She is pretty good spirits, just complaining a lot because she is afraid she will miss her soap opera and the Detroit Tigers opening games and NCAA tournament games! I am still trying to decide if I ought to be up there or not.

Anyway, hope everyone had a good weekend. I am busy trying to get stuff done and worried about all kinds of things, and trying to get some rest today (but I actually feel really good after the whirlwind weekend).

Awww Gwenn, sorry you didn't get to see your parents. It is harder with fathers I think. I never would have said I am close to mine but now I am...he was always the manly stern but quiet type and I never really talked to him much but now that I am older, I enjoy spending time with him and now I can tell he loves me and likes to spend time with me. I was hoping he would be coming in April and that was the plan but now I am not sure with what is going on with my mom. She's likely to tell him to come here anyway but no way should she be home alone for that long.

I had decided to take the day off, resubmitted the request, got it approved, went home and remembered that I had not done something that is due - not even sure what day it is due, today or tomorrow but no matter, I had to come and do it - it wasn't something that could be done from home. Road in with hubby, I will work a half day.

I seem to remember you have taken the day before Rangor off before and was happy about it, soooooo me thinks maybe you should keep that tradition. I know things are hectic at work. Meanwhile, let there be sunshine and decent temps - we'll be there in spirit with you!

Gwenn, your mom sounds like me with not keeping the kids informed of things. Although I did tell them right before the surgery what was going on. And yes they still do not trust me. Sorry to hear that things are strained between you and your dad, I've been in those shoes with all parents at one time or another. Long story. I am sure your mom misses you too.

Things are quiet around here. Bordering on boring. Have a good one, enjoy that sunshine!

I hope your mom is doing ok. Was she having problems before this? My mom is the same way although she normally tells me and doesn't tell my brother. It took her forever to tell him when she had cancer and had surgery. She never would tell her mom her health problems and I actually don't even know if she ever told her. I'm glad you've been able to talk to her. My parents got back home on the 15th. They didn't stop here but I'm really ok with that. My dad and I have a difficult time getting along now but we were never close. I think they stopped at my brother's because they have 3 kids and a new house. It doesn't bother me at all, although I wish I could spend time with my mom by herself.

This weather is nuts as usual. No snow here but I know my family in MD and PA got some. Maybe this will be the last of the cold, although we never got our usual ice storm in Feb. Hope the rain holds off for your race Gloria!

Winter coat this morning! We got snow at our house but it didn't stick. Good!

Mom is E-mailing me and telling me stuff, she seems well, talked to her a lot over the weekend, probably need to give her another shout out rather than E-mail.

Keep your fingers crossed that it doesn't rain too much for Ragnar this weekend. I'm trying to decide if I want to take tomorrow off to rest up before hand but I think I need to save my vacation for more important things that might come up.

Yes we were lucky - again!!! She will hit us hard when our guard is down, as she's done in the past.

Good boy Rocky! My sis and mom had racoons that they spoiled by feeding, they would climb up to the kitchen window and knock to let us know it was feeding time! What a mess after they passed away, eventually they got the idea that they had to forage on their own.

Thinking back 5 and 6 years ago, March was brutal weather wise so I will take this spring greeting with a bit of a smile and an extra layer.

Gloria, how is your mom? I hope your dad and/or sis will let you in on what is going on with mom; can only imagine that frustration especially the not knowing or being kept in the loop. Sometimes they think they are doing the right thing, my experience is that is wrong. I have been on both sides.

The weather fooled us again didn't it? We got some lighting and rain up my way but nothing crazy like they expected. Seems like it got worse east, south and north of us. Kind of just skipped around us. Fine with me. And now it is the first day of spring and it is going to freeze! Go figure. Hubby wanted to buy plants last night at Lowe's and I was like, uh, no, too cold.

I've got the dentist today, yay (not). Lunch with my gal pals, that will be fun.

Yoga last night, boot camp this morning. Rocky Raccoon was out by the pool this morning. He didn't seem too bothered by me but I was on the inside looking out. He didn't get in our trash, thank goodness.

Wondering about the weather today, hoping nothing severe. I will probably work through lunch so I can leave a little early.

Still here, mom insists I don't come, I have to trust that my dad and sister are making good decisions. I've been talking to mom regularly and E-mailing several times a day, and she sounds well, but she can't walk.

Anyway, DH was sick last night, not sure if it was bad food or maybe a BP or diabetic thing. He seems better this morning, took me to the grocery store. I need to work but I am so behind on stuff at home that I am not sure how I will have time. I had planned to take Thursday off before Ragnar but then changed my mind and decided to save the day off. Now I am rethinking that and think I should take it off anyway so as to have time to get more stuff done. I am thinking I need to see chiro too before Ragnar....

Hey! Well good news for me was that the accident this morning was more toward Gallatin so wouldn't have affected me, but bad news is that someone apparently died in the accident so that is very sad. Also, I did work from home today, YAY for me. I slept in, got a treadmill run in and started work. Had lunch with hubby, took car for an oil change, etc.

In the meantime, something is very very wrong with my mom and she isn't telling me. I am getting bits and pieces and I am very very scared. I just told her that I will likely head up there tomorrow and I am waiting to see what she says about that - checked into flights, yikes, so expensive, so if I go I might drive but it's like a 10 hour drive so I am not looking forward to that. I might call my dad in a while and maybe her too, though she wouldn't answer the phone when I called her Tuesday. I want to talk to him while he is at work if possible and it is hard for me to know when that is. He has been checking on her around noon so he should be back to his office by now.

Don't have any plans for St. Pats as of yet, kind of waiting to figure out mom stuff.....

Thought of you this morning Gloria when I heard about Veterans being shut down. Crazy drivers.

Sorry to hear about the weekend Gwenn, hope you have a better one this weekend. I have (well, had) friends like that that have no issue with standing someone up. If they didn't charge so much, I'd go romp with the goats but not about to yoga with them,

Gloria, you sound like my kids "worrying" about me. I am laughing; I understand and am more mindful of their feelings and concerns. There are times I felt like a latchkey parent. So I do hope your Mom comes around that she is lucky to have someone looking out for her well being. I came to that conclusion on my own so I don't have a suggestion as to what to do other than show up and see for yourself. Hugs. (I do hope your Dad does come visit)

Got absolutely nothing exciting going on for St. Patrick's. Breakfast feed bag at the Marriott, then a visit to Buchanan Log House for their take on St. Paddys. Will pick up some good adult libations too. Yes, plural on the libation. How about you guys?

Well, enjoy the sunshine!

Freaking traffic! I ended up coming Ellington which from what I could tell was definitely better but it was still not good. But coming that way I discovered a new place called Sidekicks Cafe on Graycroft Avenue near the old hospital in Madison. It's a coffee shop type place but also they serve breakfast and lunch from what I understand. Might have to check that out!

Oh Gwenn, that is a bummer about the goats, I know you were looking forward to it and I was excited to hear about it.

Yeah, I am having a hard time figuring out what is going on with my mom, she isn't being forthcoming at all. I tried to call and she won't answer and my dad is dealing with work issues so I don't want to bother him. She E-mails me but won't answer my questions. I half wonder if I just need to show up there but I am not sure if that would make her happy or mad. She says not to come because it won't change anything and I can't do anything to help but I think I could help actually.

Gwenn, did your parents stop by on the way home to see you guys? My dad is supposed to be here in late April but right now I think he can't leave my mom alone.

Oh yeah, I have a Nashville State by me on White Bridge. It's a pretty large campus too.

Thanks Kelly! I was super shocked. I really didn't think it would be me because they gave me a bonus for my review that was for Full Time people. With all the crap I deal with, I still will have a difficult time leaving. Last night I asked my husband if he really wants to leave.

Happy Pi day! It's also National Nap day! haha

I love that drive in at Watertown, but yes, it is a very late night if you go, especially if you stay for both movies.

We didn't get to the goats last weekend. I was kind of upset actually. What happened is in Feb this girl asked me and another girl on Facebook if we wanted to go. They had gone to goat yoga with me another time. So I bought tickets and I invited my friends from Franklin. They couldn't get tickets because they waited too long and they were sold out. I tried to find out what time the original girl was going and she never responded to me. We decided we would just not go partially because of that, partially because my Franklin friends couldn't go and we really did not feel like driving to Franklin. I offered my tickets to my Franklin friends and turns out they got tickets for April, so we are going to go then. We ended up going hiking last Saturday and it was something we both needed, so that was good. I know I shouldn't worry about people and do my own thing, but I thought we were going together and this is the 3rd time now that this girl has stood me up, so I think I'm done with trying to do anything with her.

Gloria, I hope your parents are ok. My parents are in Georgia right now I think. They took the train last Wed down to Florida to visit my mom's father and then they were driving back home and swinging by my brother's place. They may be leaving today to head home.

PIE DAY! I forgot about pie day. I should get my husband a pie on the way home from work. He doesn't need it and neither do I but it would be fun. Sometimes he goes to O'Charley's on Wednesday nights when I am running for free pie day but I am guessing today they will be slammed.

I left for work extra early this morning and traffic on my peninsula was CRAY CRAY! When the heck? Both coming and going. Normally see very few cars that early when I leave. I saw a lot of cars at Hendersonville High, and a bunch of charter buses in the parking lot there, wondered if it was something to do with the walk out/sit in today.

Made a cute card for my hubby last night. Haven't given it to him yet, maybe at lunch today I will....Whose going to bet with me that we will go to Chuy's? I gave him a list of places to try and he seemed to like the idea but so far it is Chuy's only, haha, he really loves that place.

Having some parent issues, tried to call mom last night but she wouldn't answer. She did E-mail though. I try not to bother my dad because of his work.

We are thinking about going to the drive in Saturday night but it's so far...it's in Watertown and then driving home that late, I don't love that long drive so late at night. Plus, being that it is still chilly out, just not sure about sitting in the car for several hours (it is a double feature after all).

Today is National Pie Day. Grab a fork, spoon or use the original utensil...your fingers!

Gwenn I saw the awesome Award you received last night from work...they have been taking notice of your talent and hard work!!! I was so excited to see that.

The pool has been maybe 84 recently, we are okay once we get moving. What makes it feel colder is the air temp which we feel more in the water. It's difficult because part of it is an outdoor pool so the waters mix. We shall see what this morning brings.

Good for you having sausage! Last week mine was BACON, nice thick slices of center cut! And the local bacon at the Marriott, can not wait for Saturday's feed bag.

It was crazy yesterday, too warm with a jacket on in the sun and that wind was cold in the shade.

Seriously, in the 70s! No way would I get in that water! The coldest I would get in is maybe 87. I would love to do water aerobics at my Y but they keep the water at about 83. No thanks.

Got out and walked at lunch yesterday, glad I didn't decide to run because I didn't have warm enough clothes with me, and that WIND, I would have been very cold and uncomfortable.

I went to the cafeteria and got some sausage. I never do that. I do like it but so unhealthy. But a nice treat every now and then I think.

I agree Gloria on the crazy accidents, I was nearly creamed twice (first time before getting out of my 'hood) by idiots that were too lazy to clear their winders of snow! WOW early morn workouts...said it before, I admire your sticktoitness. Hope you made it to your stampin' class without traffic woes by the way.

Gwenn, the name of the school is Nashville State Community College on Elm Hill Pike.

Yesterday's water aerobics was a bust again...the water temp was in the 70's again, although higher than Friday. We suggested they check to see that whoever is in charge of the pool, knows which thermostat is for the hot tub and the pool. The tub was over 100 again; not as hot as Friday. Anyway I figured I'd hit the bike. There are only two in there, the regular one I could not get the seat down because I did not want to stand and bike, the recumbent I couldn't get the seat right for my knees to be comfy. On to the treadmill, I hate to admit it but I like theirs, more cushioned. Funny thing, a guy was in there trying to figure out the weight machine. He did not bring his readers so it was hard for him see, he is laughing at himself while I'm talking to myself and the seat. He was getting on the treadmill as I was leaving and said he wasn't about to leave while Nana was in here getting her groove on. He was worried too that we were going to get in the pool and he was too chicken to freeze.

Bundle up tonight, looks like sun again tomorrow! Have a good one!

Definitely colder yesterday and certainly cold this morning! Though I am sure it is above freezing, people must be driving too fast because there were a lot of accidents on my way in. One was really bad, took up two of three lanes on the bridge over the Cumberland on I-65 between Trinity to Rosa Parks. Goodness, traffic was backed up for a few miles and it was still so early! It might have been a second accident because the one that my GPS told me about was after Rosa Parks and this was before, and traffic was backed up for miles but no emergency vehicles yet, so I am thinking the other one cleared and maybe this one happened as a result of that one? Looked pretty bad, a semi and a couple of cars.

Anyway, got my workouts in this weekend, ran eight on Saturday, four yesterday, yoga last night, class at the Y this morning. Stampin' Up group is tonight - I have a feeling with this time change that I am going to be exhausted! Got a lot done around the house this weekend, worked a little yesterday - getting stuff done helps me feel less stressed.

Tried a new breakfast place in Hendersonville yesterday - we had been there before, or at least tried to but when we went there before didn't even get acknowledged so we ended up leaving. This time service was excellent but food was just okay. Also went Saturday to White House to check out a burger joint called Jaws - super friendly place, but I don't eat much of that kind of food so not likely we will frequent there either - especially since it's 20 minutes up the road.

I agree Gwenn, you'd make a great paralegal. Have you looked into the junior colleges or whatever they are called here? It is way cheaper to go that route. Too bad you don't live on this side of town, there is a east campus to Nashville whatever that is opening, I am sure it is state run.

My neighbor has gotten into the beachbody thing and maybe T25, almost to the point of overkill because she is way too focused on it (there are other things to talk about ya know).haha

What a wonderful Saturday it was! We had a bigger crowd for our group lunch yesterday because it was so nice. Today, not so sure, it is colder out. Got nothing exciting planned.

Well, enjoy your day minus one hour!

I see I wasn't paying attention to the weather this morning, lousy day...here's to only wet roads overnight.

Hey Ladies, baby goats!!!! emoticon Hope you guys have fun! I think now they are saying no rain for tomorrow but likely for Sunday.

I felt like this was a good month end closing, a little bit of extra work but not horrible like it often is. Last day of that was Wednesday and I got a lot done yesterday but by late yesterday afternoon I was ready for the weekend. Have gotten a lot done today too but it's time to GO HOME!!! emoticon

I've never heard of T25. I was thinking about doing Beachbody on demand but now I am going to that yoga class and have been going to the Y for the circuit class occasionally so I guess for now I am sticking with DVDs that I have - one is a barre one and one is strength. I went to the circuit class last Friday, was seriously sore until about Tuesday, so we will go again on Monday and hopefully the pain will recede by the weekend, hahaha!

DST this weekend!

Gwenn, my mom went to school to be a paralegal and my best running friend is a court clerk here in Nashville. I think you would be good at that!

Not sure what the weekend holds, we worked on our bonus room last weekend and we have a LONG way to go on that. We set the timer for an hour last weekend, made a lot of progress...might do the same on Sunday. And then I might work for about an hour - just to alleviate the stress of next week. I kind of want to take a day off just for the heck of it but I have five days scheduled off later this month for Ragnar and a half marathon that is in Indiana on Easter weekend so I am not sure if is a good idea to take off another day this month. I've been working on my crafty stuff at least one evening a week - Kelly, I am heeding your orders and am trying to find some balance here!

Gwenn, it sounds like you have made some really good job improvements, I hope that they know what a valuable employee you are!

Had lunch with my friend today...she wanted Blue Coast Burrito which is not my favorite but it was nice to spend time with her. I was supposed to run but I did run this morning at 4 am so I don't feel guilty about skipping out other than I needed it for Ragnar training.

Hey girls, hope you are well! It has been a little hectic. My husband had a friend come in last weekend and he left Wed morning. I am glad to have my house back. He only actually stayed at the house the first night he came in and the night before he went to the airport, but there is only so much talking about gaming and man talk that I can take. I was actually glad to go to work on Tuesday. I took off yesterday because I'm trying to use up 4 days of vacation before the end of this month. I went for a massage yesterday and it was subpar. I actually felt way worse afterward. I probably need to do more stretching and foam rolling. I've been doing another Beachbody program called T25. The workouts aren't long but they are intense. I really need to lose this weight and nothing else is working so I have to do this cardio!

Really over my job. Like really over it. I'm trying to make it work until we figure out the next thing. I know it could be WAY worse and I could be there every day, so I just keep trucking. I've pushed for a process for agreement requests and finally, an email was sent out on Wed with the new form. I was so tired of sending 5 emails back to the person to dig out more information so I could do my job or search for 30 min to get the correct address and they had it the whole time. I mean, I can be resourceful but when you are limited in time, or when I was totally by myself, it's really not efficient. But now people are just too dumb in the common sense area to do what is needed. One girl is actually sending me the request form at the same time as the signed agreement that I never sent the template for to begin with. That is not the point!

I was looking at certificate programs to be a paralegal. They are still a bit pricey, but I could probably swing it if I started working FT. But if we are moving in the near future, I don't really want to ask this job if I can work FT. I actually don't know that there would be enough for me to do.

Hope you have a good weekend! We are trying to go to Noble Springs to see the baby goats. I hope it isn't raining!

Oh my gosh, SNOW!!!!!! Where did this come from? Yikes! The roads looked dry but BLACK ICE! Wrecks every where on my way in. I totally didn't expect that!

I really think this month end closing has been much better....less hours for sure, and working Sunday REALLY helped! Next month I won't have that luxury and that is quarter end, ugh.

Otherwise, not much going on here, other than where did this COLD weather come from? DST starts this weekend.

Gosh Gloria, I almost hate to see the beginning of any month because it is not a friend of yours! HUGS

I need to go to an Aldi's and think I'll head over to the Nolensville Pike one and drop some stuff off at the habitat rehome store. (That'll clear 2 sq feet of garage space, haha)

Bahye Megan!!! We can only hope the "breaking news" is correct and the door can hit her backside as she leaves. Oh and she has a plea agreement, does that mean all other offenders get to have one?

Back to Monday, today and tomorrow could potentially be stressful but maybe by Wednesday things will calm down. Weekend was beautiful wasn't it? SUNSHINE! Back to rain but since it's Monday I won't complain. I had a good weekend, ran yesterday and Saturday. Got a lot done around the house Saturday, worked on cleaning some junk out of the bonus room and took that to a donation place yesterday. Had to work yesterday though.

HaHa Gloria at least you didn't end up with muddy undies in this slide!!!

I know, we were singing at water aerobics at the sunshine! Yesterday afternoon turned out so nice, then about 5 or so those black clouds moved in - happy to see it didn't amount to anything.

Nothing exciting going on here this weekend, hope you all take time to relax and enjoy the dryness.

Oh sunshine, glorious sunshine! Oh happy day! OH FRIDAY! Funny about the ponding on the sidewalks Kelly, I can't remember if it was two or three weeks ago and we were doing our Saturday morning Fleet Feet run in a monsoon of course, because what else has there been lately? And I gave the whole group a lecture about being careful about the ponding water and being careful and all...and then I ran through some, and even though it was allegedly a sidewalk, it was really a mudslide or something and I almost fell on my tail because I slid on that mud! I don't mind running in the rain, especially if the weather is pretty warm but this cold dreary damp weather is getting to be old news. Hit the Y this morning with my friend before work - that meant getting up at O dark 30. Not sure what the weekend will bring, maybe a little working but hoping it won't be too bad.

Can you believe it is March already??? Will we need to finish the Arc soon, geez. I can only imagine your frustrations Gloria, long tangled commutes, work overloaded stress and stuck with the treadmill. The thing that would worry me is stepping in the ponding on the sidewalks or roadside.

Rain rain rain! I ended up doing the treadmill last night because I just couldn't stand the idea of running in the rain again! Not much going on here except work..same old same old.
