I'm leaning towards a birthing center but would go for a hospital birth as long as I had a Doula with me.

It can only get better from here!

Hospital for sure. Most likely going to do a C-section, if I ever get that lucky and to that point!

Birthing center all the way! My birthing center is in a hospital (which I guess was good since I had to go deliver just outside the birthing center (literally a door away) because of my induction. But then I got to go back and recover in my nice, big birthing center suite. :)

Hospital. I know two low risk home births that went horribly wrong. That's not for me. My DS was born in the hospital and it was a great experience.

I would love to have a home birth, but I'll probably settle for the birthing center at the university hospital. Mainly because my house is a hoarded mess and birthing here seems unrealistic.

I'm old fashioned and want a hospital birth. I had to have one anyway with my son as he was an emergency C-Section.

I really like the idea of birthing centers (or midwife centers?), and as long as I'm healthy, that would be my first choice. It seems like it would have close to the comfort of home, with all the necessary equipment, and most birthing centers are close to or attached to a hospital, in case of emergency.

We're planning for a home birth as long as baby and I are healthy and low-risk. We have a fantastic midwife who is really experienced, has all the equipment needed to take care of the baby if there are minor issues, and definitely knows when moving to the hospital is necessary. Even if something comes up and we need to be at the hospital for safety reasons, planning to go natural if at all possible!
