That is interesting. I will read some more. I had a reaction to my epidural. I was VERY itchy all over for a few hours after it wore off. I would go through it again so as not to feel the "ring of fire," but if there are other ways, I would be interested to know about them.

I only looked into a few of the comments on the site and it sounds amazing but I feel like I would be so scared that it would end up being more pain that I could handle and then I would want the drugs...

Wow this really interesting! I'll definitely look into this. I would prefer for my next birth to be natural if it is possible.

QTLADY - That's so cool that your mom used hypnosis for dental procedure pain management! As a pharmacist, I can appreciate how allergies to numbing agents (i.e. end in -caine ;)) can make these things really difficult. So glad she had a positive experience!

Very interesting! Thanks for sharing! I bet my mom wishes she had this back in the day. I know once she had her tooth pulled with hypnosis. I know, not the same, but she is allergic to all the pain medications that end in -caine.

I attended the birth of my best friends baby girl November 2014. My friend, her husband and I used Hypnobabies as the means to control her discomfort throughout the labor and delivery process. She ended up having the natural labor and delivery she planned for and said Hypnobabies helped her tremendously throughout the whole process.

My favorite part about the whole program was the emphasis on taking the fear out of childbirth. Even if I do end up using pain meds or an epidural during my own labor and delivery, I will be using Hypnobabies as well!
