My dream job would be to be a stay at home mom doing my 2 part time businesses more. I am a Health Coach with Herbalife and I'm also a distributor of Young Living Essential Oils. I would love to be able to focus more on those.

I would love create couture clothing for people, especially ladies who struggle to find garments that fit. I would even make lingerie like bras. I wish there was a way to make that sort of thing affordable for everyone.

I always dreamed of being a singer. Did quite some auditions, but unfortunately never made it to big jobs. Now I do it just for fun. With February Album Writing Month coming up, I hope to finally write that song (or more!) that's just waiting to come out. LOL

[anyone want to join? Check: fawm.org]

More realistic: I'd like to own a yoga studio one day. At the moment I'm figuring out which yoga teacher training to register for, when to start and how to pay for it.

My regular job is at the admissions office at the University in my town. I love being part of the academic community, without the actual stress of being a researcher. Some of my friends are researchers, but I could never cope with the uncertainty of not knowing if I would still have funding/a job a year from now...

Another female in a tech industry (aerospace engineer, here). If I had to stay within my field, I'd want to be a design or test engineer for a company that makes space vehicles. I'd also love to have the opportunity to be a stay at home mom or middle school math/science tutor. I enjoy helping kids understand the language of mathematics and showing them the wonders of the natural world around us. I think being a park ranger or game warden would be a neat job, too, since I really enjoy being in the woods.

Just call me La. Most everyone else does.

I'm a teacher too! Lol. I guess my dream job would be to have my own Kinder room though. Subbing is not my fave job right now, but it's something until a Kinder or 1st Grade spot opens up. Either that, or an artist. I love art, but it doesn't pay the bills for me. :-P

I think I'm kind of in my dream job already as well. I am a teacher and I'm in a school that is absolutely a wonderful family environment. I've only been back from maternity leave for a couple weeks now, and sometimes I really wish I could be a stay at home mom, but I can't imagine giving up my job here at school because I wouldn't want to work anywhere else!

In an alternate life, I've always thought I'd like to do something in the medical field!

I totally know what you mean MNEMONIKO. I'm a female software engineer in a field completely dominated by men. How awesome would it be to not have to worry about any of the stresses that the men in our fields don't have to worry about. Its especially apparent right now since I'm hoping to need to take some maternity in the not to distant future.

My dream job is actually what I'm working towards now - being a scientist, but without all the baggage that currently comes with it...

So, without the stress of low funding, without the US government shutting down and almost completely wrecking the US Antarctic Program for several seasons, without the constant challenge of having to prove that yes, you can do it, even though you are a woman, without the worry about when to have kids so you won't get fired or it won't derail your career, and without the overtraining of PhDs for an extremely limited number of faculty positions at universities.

Take all that away, and I'm living the dream :)

My dream job would be to work in a 3rd world country as a health care professional!

I've had this dream since childhood; it all started with my grandmother.
She would give the little she had from her social security checks to all sorts of foundations that came in her mail. They were often for children, orphanages, churches, etc....She would send what what she had; often times just a $1. She was far from rich, but you wouldn't know it by looking at her. Her kindness and humbleness made her one of the richest people I've ever known.

At the moment I am going to school to become an RN, but I plan on continuing my education.

Interestingly enough my husband is from a country in Africa. The health care in his country is very different from ours. It's all cash & carry. If you don't have it then you don't get it. Many people die from simple things. Many suffer incredible amounts of pain everyday.

I know someday I will go there and help.

I am a social worker in the mental health field - I love my job! I think my dream job would be this job, but I'd have won the lottery so I didn't have to worry about money and I could use it to help people who live in poverty.

This is a good question because I am a teacher and it has always been my dream job. ALWAYS. Since having my second son 19 months ago though I seriously considered other professions in order to be home with him more. But I honestly can't find anything I would rather do, and this is a hard job.
My dream job would be to be a Stay At Home Mom. I so want to be the mom that volunteers at my kids' schools, cooks and cleans the house, and be able to volunteer in other areas. Not sure if that counts but that is what I want. :)

This is completely out of the blue and has absolutely nothing to do with any of my experience or my career path that I'm on... but if I could do ANYTHING I would love to be an NFL football coach (or involved in the team somehow). I've always loved everything football related and I think its a shame that there are so few women involved with the teams. Maybe the NFL wouldn't have quite the problems they have been having lately if there were some women in there telling all the men what to do! And I think the high from being involved with a team making a Superbowl run would be so awesome. Being involved in competitive sports was such a huge part of my childhood and to get to feel like that when I go to work would be awesome

...not that I have any experience with football coaching at all - but I have coached my daughters soccer team before - so that sort of counts, right? Good question :) emoticon
