I don't have any other advice to give as I think everyone had great ideas. I will say that, despite my age, I never thought getting pregnant was this hard.

I agree! We haven't really made a solid decision. but we are kind of just seeing how things go! We aren't trying but not really trying to prevent it too much either. So we will see!

Same here. I tried to plan everything around the thought 'I might get pregnant this month'. But after 14 months and no pregnancy I don't care anymore. I just do the things I want to do. You don't want to put your life on hold while you're TTC.

If you really do not want to be pregnant on your trip, then start TTC later. But you never know how long it actually might take you to get pregnant. And you don't want to think back and say 'I wish I started earlier..'. I know everyone is different, but I would not let a vacation get in the way of life plans this important.

Good luck on your decision! Do what's right for you!

At first, I planned around possibly being pregnant. We're on cycle 8 now, and I don't really care. I was waiting on buying tickets for something in August, but as long as I'm not so far along that I'm medically restricted, I'm going. You don't know how long it'll take to get pregnant, and there are meds out there to help if you end up with morning sickness.

There are so many reasons you could suddenly not be able to go on a trip, but you go ahead and plan anyway, right? Would you skip a trip because you might get sick on the trip and miss out on most of it?

Life can be so stressful. I would write down your pros and cons. Based upon that try to make a decision; then discus with the hubby.

I've never been pregnant so I can't say it will have a big effect on your vacation. It seems to vary greatly per individual. My strongest concern, personally, would probably be about eating out & getting sick since I'm big on preparing my own meals.

Nonetheless hope you feel better soon! emoticon

Being tired and having morning sickness won't hold you back much. Wait if you want drinking to be a fun part of the vacation; otherwise, do as you like.

Thanks AMPROSKE1!

I think I'll have a conversation with him and see what he really thinks we should do! Who knows we may not even get pregnant until then anyway!

I would try not to worry about all of the stuff that 'could' happen, even though I know that is hard to do. On a positive note, if you take the trip now, even if you are pregnant, it would be a good opportunity for you and your husband to enjoy your life as a couple before you have a baby because after that it is just different.
As for morning sickness, I didn't have any with my second one and I attribute that to eating healthy and snacking every couple of hours. I was tired, yes, but I just rested when I could.
I think you should go as planned. :)

Hello! I was wondering if anyone could give me some advice?

I am typically a huge planner... I have planned a trip to Bora Bora for April and I had planned on waiting until then to try and conceive. However, I have gone off BC and am now ready to start TTC. I don't know if I want to wait until then? In one way I think I should because I don't want anything to interrupt this trip for us, but at the same time I know it can take time to conceive and would like to start at least trying and see what happens. My husband is fine with starting now, but is worried because he knows how important this trip is to me and doesn't want anything to interfere with this trip. I know I could go even if I was pregnant, but worry about morning sickness, tiredness, and/or what if its a complicated pregnancy?? I know there is no way to know what can happen. What would you do?
